What a glorious house set in the most breathtaking location with stunning sea and mountain views, 9 acres of wonderful grounds. A fabulous contemporary house with interesting furniture and yet wonderfully welcoming and relaxing - what more could you ask for!I love the space of the magnificent entrance hall, the beautifully crafted staircase and gallery. It is a fabulous room for relaxing over long lunches or dinner with friends and family.
Cooking will be an absolute pleasure in the well equipped kitchen/breakfast room. The table is a great piece of furniture, ideal for breakfasts, range cooker with two ovens, fridge freezer, washing machine and dryer, dishwasher and a Bose music system - bliss!
Downstairs loo and shower with wash hand basin and a second cloakroom.
I go on, but this house is sublime. The sitting room has deep comfy sofas and chairs, magnificent views, full length wall of glass doors lead to the conservatory, again with individual interesting furniture and round the corner to the dining room where you can soak up the views.
Upstairs the spacious gallery landing takes you to four bedrooms, a double bedroom, twin bedroom with comfy trundle beds so could sleep four, a bunk bedroom and family bathroom with double ended bath, loo, basin and separate shower. The master bedroom with double bed has en suite shower room with loo and basin, French windows open onto the balcony.
A truly fantastic house - book it!
We have just spent 10 days at 1 Pen y Parc. Myself(62) my mother (87) and my aunt (80).
It was 10 days of sheer luxury, the house and furnishings are amazing. The gardens and grounds are absolute paradise.
Our thanks to the owners for renting it out; the gardener for his sterling work, endless information and general friendship;
the cleaner for leaving the house immaculate for our arrival and Menai Cottages for their help with the booking.
Our first visit but we hope to return again this year.

This place is amazing!! we stayed in October and yes the typical British Weather wasn't brilliant but it was such a relaxing holiday made a nice change to the usual mayhem holiday abroad!!! 1 Pen y Parc is such a beautiful home and 8 of us stayed there and it didn't feel cramped at all and as 8 people went down to 6 it felt empty! All I can say is we will be going again and that says it all! Kate Roe & Family
