If you are looking for a run of the mill house to stay in then turn the page this is not for you!!The Boathouse is now a delightful bijoux residence sitting at the bottom of the pretty garden of Cadnant Gate on the edge of the Menai Strait over looking the sea towards the main land and to the Menai suspension bridge. The owner lives quietly at the top of the garden, so you can enjoy the peace and tranquillity without treading on each others toes.
The boathouse is a large open plan room with a cosy sitting corner around the wood burning stove (in the winter you can draw the curtains to make it even snugger). The owner has gone to a lot of trouble to ensure that this little cottage is warm and comfortable all year round by adding secondary glazing & a new all night wood burning stove. A small galley kitchen with a Belfast sink, electric hot plate, microwave combi oven and fridge with ice compartment, do not expect a fitted kitchen this is a kitchen fitted in but perfectly adequate. Shower room with shower, loo and wash hand basin, electric heater. Now the stairs are something quite unusual! A wooden staircase with electric remote control press the button and down come the stairs, which lead to the galleried bedroom with limited headroom!
If you want peace, calm, something quite different and quirky in beautiful surroundings this is the house for you!
