What a fabulous house, sitting on the edge of the Menai Strait, looking across to Caernarfon right down the Strait to open sea with the stunning backdrop of Snowdonia.The full refurbishment of this house has been underpinned by the owners desire to offer a fantastic holiday cottage that they would be happy to stay in.
Original stone walls, beams and timbers from ships combined with careful interior design, subtle lighting and no expense spared on extras such as hot tub and wine cooler make this a unique holiday cottage experience.
A warm, light, fun open-plan living kitchen with fantastic views and doors opening on to the decked terrace, deep comfy sofas, wood burning stove, TV, DVD and CD player.
The kitchen area is well equipped with central island work station with refrigerated, wine cooler, electric oven and ceramic hob. From the patio doors open on to a large decked terrace with glass panels, hot tub, under floor lighting, table and chairs for al fresco meals. Dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer, microwave and all the utensils you need for creating great meals.
The dining room looks down the Menai Strait towards Y Felinheli with doors opening on to a balcony giving a lovely Mediterranean feel.
Downstairs - 4 bedrooms, two double bedrooms, one with en-suite wet room, shower with loo and wash hand basin, one twin and one single bedroom.
Contemporary bathroom with bath and power shower over, loo and wash hand basin.
A fantastic house.
This property is gorgeous. If you want stylish get away from the crowd accomodation look no further. We sat on the balcony catching the sun during the day and went crab fishing late afternoon and spent the evening sitting in the hot tub with a glass of wine looking at the superb scenery. What a wonderful holiday home the Boathouse is...all the facilities one could ask for and situated in a fantastic location. The views across the Menai Strait...the peaceful location..and some fantastic sun settings. And during our fortnight...the unbelievable hot weather.
