You will be bowled over by the awesome views of the sea and the hills from every room in this self contained south wing apartment, forming part of Bron Y Garth. Just a short walk in the garden gives you another breathtaking view of beautiful Borth y Gest Bay.The house is rich in history and if only the walls could talk! They would talk of times gone by when leading Shakespearean actors lived there. This beautiful stone built Welsh country house perched on the headland stands in 4 acres of landscaped, private gardens. Just a short walk takes you to the centre of Porthmadog, a bustling town with good places to eat - try Yr Hen Fecws. Walk to Borth y Gest one day - a charming picture postcard bay with its own tearoom and restaurant. There is so much to do in this part of the world! Welsh Highland and Ffestiniog Railways, golf courses, plenty of walking on the coastal paths or in Snowdonia, good cycle tracks, fine castles and of course the beautiful beaches.
The apartment has its own private front door to the side of the house. A flight of 18 easy rise stairs takes you to the spacious sitting room with high ceilings and large windows (wonderful views!), tastefully decorated with carefully chosen soft furnishings and some great paintings. There is a DVD player and a TV if you can tear your self away from the wonderful scenery. The dining room looks over the estuary where the hills run down to the sea. The galley style kitchen is equipped with a gas cooker, microwave, dishwasher and a fridge with a small freezer. There is a cloakroom and loo and washing machine on the ground floor entrance hall.
Upstairs to three bedrooms - one king size bed, a double bed and a zip and link twin which can be made into a super king - all of which enjoy these breathtaking sea views. The pine clad bathroom has a bath, wash hand basin and loo with a separate shower room.
You can enjoy the use of most of the garden which is perfect for relaxing meals outside, soaking up the ever-changing views, or disappear with a book to a quiet little spot where you can relax and snooze in the sunshine in this wonderful setting. Please note: the terrace and lawn at the front are reserved for the owners.
Also available at Bron y Garth Hall, are the Coach House (sleeps 6) and the West Wing (sleeps 4) - booked together, all three properties can accommodate 16 guests.
