Accommodation

The Stables is a great cottage with interesting quirks, such as the conservatory with its fun lights, lovely open fire in the sitting room and we love the tree in the garden. A house that really lends itself to the seasons, it is cosy and snug in the winter with the open stone fireplace and deep, comfy sofas and fun in the summer with the large conservatory opening on to the garden.

Llanfair PG, or to give its full title Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyndrobwllantysiliogogogoch, will be known to most of you because of its splendid name. The village also is home to the Marquess of Anglesey's column - the 360 degree view from the top of the column is amazing. The village has two pubs both serving bar meals, a good bakery and general stores, gallery and a small train station with a long name. Beaches, mountains and excellent tourist attractions are all close by.

From the main hall step up into the kitchen/breakfast room  (2/3 big steps) is well equipped with double oven and electric hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, and microwave. The breakfast island seats six comfortably.

The spacious, cosy sitting room has a certain chic about it: wooden floors, beamed ceiling, open fireplace and Welsh dresser, flat screen TV with DVD, Sky enabled (bring your own box and card) and CD player.

Then 3/4 big steps up to the conservatory  which is a fun room, branches with twinkling lights covering the ceiling add to the ambience of this room which opens onto the garden, so you can enjoy relaxing summer evenings here. There is a dining table and chairs and if it gets chilly there is a gas burning stove.

Three bedrooms: one large twin bedroom downstairs that has a seating area with sofa and TV/video, with separate shower room with loo basin and heated towel rail; upstairs a huge double bedroom with en-suite bathroom, bath, shower over, loo, bidet and basin; and a twin bedroom.

Outside you'll find the enclosed garden with furniture and a splendid tree! The Milking Parlour and the Tack Room, both sleeping 4, are next door.

Visitor Comments

We stayed at The Stables in July and we were very lucky with the weather. The accommodation is very versatile, spacious, homely, love the conservatory and the patio too. Diana was very helpful with sorting out any issues we had which were beyond her control. Everything you need is in the cottage but remember to bring condiments (eg sauce, mayo etc etc) We cooked and had lovely family meals around the table in the conservatory and we also used the large breakfast bar. Not far from anywhere, easy walk to the village. Visited Mountain Sea Zoo, Moelfre, Copper Kingdom, food at Red Wharf Bay to celebrate our daughter's Graduation Day, Beaumaris for chips on the sea front and may other places to eat and drink everywhere. Conway for Sunday lunch. A week was not long enough. Angela Pridmore

Very spacious with a great open log burning fire cosy for after long walks around the coastal paths.
Great garden for dogs and very nice large conservatory for dinning and eating.
Only thing missing is Wi-Fi as phone signal can be poor at times.
Perfect location for out and about.

Love this whole set up of the 3 houses. All nicely set out. Perfect for dogs as the garden is great with lots of space to run around. The interior is perfect for relaxing after long days out walking in the nearby beaches or forest. Would very much recommend to family and friends. Greig Van outen

A lovely property, with every amenity you could ask for. Very clean and well looked after. Great location for touring. The property is on several different levels, quite interesting with a 22 month old! The adults loved the conservatory, the kids loved next doors cows!! Elaine Robins

This is of high quality property to stay for all types of holidays and is an excellant house to stay and it is in an ideal location. The property has a lovely conservatory. We will definitely be booking to stay again. H Michael
