Built in 1874, this grand, imposing house is split into three apartments, two of which are available as holiday houses - Bryn Henllan Mawr & Bryn Henllan Bach, which together can accommodate up to 9 people. The house is set in a peaceful hillside location with sea views in the popular seaside town of Criccieth, only a five minute stroll to the beach and shops.Criccieth is a welcoming, popular seaside destination - visitors who come here return year upon year! With its splendid beach, castle, interesting shops, restaurants and bars, there is plenty to do and see. Just a short drive takes you to many tourist attractions in this stunning part of North Wales - the Italianate village of Portmerion, Welsh Highland Railway, Snowdon, coastal walks - the list goes on and on!
Bryn Henllan Mawr is a wonderful, spacious ground floor apartment sleeping 5 people. The entrance hallway still has its original mosaic floor which sweeps through the whole length of the property. The doors off the hallway lead to lovely sun filled rooms comprising of a sitting room, large kitchen, 3 bedrooms, family bathroom and games room below.
The light and airy sitting room with beautiful stripped floor has a wall hung flatscreen TV with Freeview & DVD player, a gas flame effect fire, comfy squishy sofas and overlooks the garden and enjoys views out to sea and toward Harlech. There is even a door out onto the balcony, the perfect spot to sit and soak up the afternoon sun and sea views with a glass of wine and a good book! A well equipped kitchen with microwave, gas cooker & hob, dishwasher, fridge freezer, washing machine, ceiling hung drying rack, CD player with iPod charger and a selection of cookery books for inspiration!
Three bedrooms, two with sea views and all tastefully decorated with soft squishy duvets and Egyptian cotton linen. The master bedroom with superking zip n link beds (can be made up as a double or twins) is spacious & bright with stripped natural floor & lovely large windows letting the sunlight flood the room. A second large bedroom, with twin 3ft beds and again, blessed with views over the lawned garden to the sea. The 3rd child's bedroom has a 2ft6 bed and bookshelf filled with books for all ages and interests.
Stylish black and white marble effect family bathroom with bath, separate shower, wash hand basin and loo.
Clever use of the basement has transformed the space into a great games room, ideal for teenagers, with a table tennis table and billiards table. There is also a dartboard (bring your own darts if required). The stairs are quite steep so may not be suitable for younger children.
Outside there is a large lawned garden to the front of the house, not enclosed.
