Y Bwthyn is a delightful stone cottage. Part of a Welsh stone long cottage, it is just two minutes from the beach on a quiet lane in the centre of this popular seaside village. Nefyn has all you need for a relaxing holiday, the shops sell locally grown and sourced produce and still display it in the old fashioned way on the pavement. Good food at pubs and restaurants, one of the best golf courses in the world, lovely safe sandy beaches, the Lleyn Coastal Path and the most astonishing scenery. The cottage has been sympathetically renovated, exposing some of the original stone work, slate window sills, original lintels and beams, which combine well with contemporary lighting and carefully chosen soft furnishings and furniture. Central heating keeps it snug and warm through the winter months and some of the summer ones!!
The kitchen with dining table and chairs is bright and cheerful, a sweet little cottage window often with a vase of freshly cut flowers welcomes you. A gas hob and electric oven, dishwasher, fridge with ice compartment and microwave, outside in the wash house there is a washing machine. Kitchen steps up to the sitting room, a lovely cosy room, with wood burning effect fire, flatscreen TV with DVD and CD player, comfy sofa and chairs.
Upstairs to a pretty double bedroom with wonderful views, squashy duvet and pretty bed linen. The spacious bathroom has fab floors, a free standing roll top bath, loo and wash hand basin.
Outside to the front of the house is a small garden, and a sitting out area with table and chairs at the back of the cottage.
It is a delightful bright, welcoming and romantic cottage. Book it quickly!

A perfect weekend, sometimes spent doing lots, sometimes spent doing nothing, in the most beautiful and romantic of cottages. If you enjoy spending time with the person you love ..... this is the place to come. Graham and Sandra
We have had a lovely stay in the cottage. Thank you for all the lovely finishing touches and your personal attention to detail. The restaurant / pub suggestions and walks were all great! I have enjoyed by first visit to Nefyn and hope to return again soon.
Thank you! Mark & Angela
The cottage is charming but it is the warmth and sincerity of Peta's welcome which we will never forget. We wish her every success with her future projects.
PS: Order one of the home-cooked meals from the welcome folder for an unforgettable evening! Neville & Jackie Neill
It was good to return to Nefyn again after 16 years, but especially to stay at your fabulous cottage. Thank you for the basket of treats and the warmest of welcomes Peta. We enjoyed revisiting the beaches loved when our children were small and to find them still beautiful and unspoilt. Also the peaceful riverside walks at Llanystymdwy and Beddgelert. We have had excellent food at 'The Ship' (Edern) and the Nanhoron Arms. Thanks from both of us! We wish you and your girls every success with your future plans. Josie & Rod
We have had a lovely time on the Lleyn - a well kept secret!... Made even better by our stay at Y Bwthyn. Wonderful accomodation - relaxing and homely. We appreciated the welcome basket and friendly introduction to Nefyn. A great base to explore Nefyn - our highlights have to be ... walk to the fort (on a blustery day), Portmerion, Ffestiniog Railway, the many beaches and coffee shops! Chloe loved being out in the fresh air all day every day. We will be back! Mark, Sarah & Chloe (10 months)
It has been such a lovely week staying here at Y Bwthyn. The cottage is gorgeous, immaculate and so pretty with all the lovely touches.
We have explored the area and always managed to find somewhere good to eat and drink a hot latte! The Ship is good for starters (especially the camenbert) and the indian was very good!
Thank you Peta for being so welcoming and for pointing us in the right direction for places to explore, eat and drink! The Penninsula walks are beautiful with many coffee shops on the way but a MUST is to walk up the mountain at the front of the house that looks like a volcano, called Yr Eifl. On a clear day you can see every cove and beach on the whole Penninsula and Anglesey. This is very special - there is an easy footpath up but we mountain climbed and it was great! The whole stay has been so relaxing and the cottage is a great place to come back to after a cold day walking.
Ps: The cockeral is a 'cool dude', a real character. Simon now wants one! Katie & Simon
My Fiance and I stayed here for the Valentine's weekend after being given the stay as an engagement present. It was the most thoughtful of presents. The cottage is luxurious, beautiful and romantic and we both thoroughly enjoyed our weekend here. It's location is convienient and yet rural and we will definitely be returning. We had the nicest of weekends and it was the perfect first weekend away as an engaged couple. Haylie Meert
