Accommodation Details
A fabulous, funky, fun, cheerful house in a stunning location with ocean views. A short stroll to the beach and the centre of the pretty village of Criccieth. Good pubs, cafes and restaurants all with in a short walk. The shopping here is so retro, the grocer displays his fruit and vegetables on the pavement, the butcher has a splendid display of local meat, the Idris Café has fantastic breads - he bakes for the Portmeirion Hotel, delicious ice cream, wonderful individual shops with unusual bits and pieces, the most splendid ironmongers, Criccieth Castle and a train station!! Leave Criccieth if you will and you are in the heart of Snowdonia in a few miles, or catch the train and connect to the Welsh Highland Railway and visit Caernarfon, the Slate mines at Llechwedd or Beddgelert. As Cae Nant is such a relaxing house I doubt you will want to go far. The colours throughout the house give it a holiday feel - the stripey stair carpet and I love the glorious pink sofa and chairs in the sitting room.
A large welcoming open plan kitchen carefully combined with a relaxing dining room with farmhouse table and chairs, complete with wood burning stove and the most glorious sea views from the french windows which open on to the garden for alfresco meals. The kitchen is well equipped with gas hob and electric fan oven, fridge, dishwasher, and lots of extra kitchen gadgets to entice the best of cooks. The utility room next door houses a washing machine, sink, and deep freeze. As all seaside houses should have, there is a wet room with loo and wash hand basin. This will combine as a shower room for any one having the odd sleepover downstairs.
A room that fits many needs, this essentially is a snug with large flat screen TV, DVD, CD and internet access so a great room for chilling BUT it also has a decent sofa bed which is properly sprung and comfy so ideal for any one who finds stairs difficult.
Cloakroom with loo and basin.
A wonderful retro sitting room with french windows opening on to the garden, stunning sea views taking in the hills and along the Cambrian coast, delicious pink sofa and chairs set around the open fireplace which make this house ideal for Christmas, New Year and winter visits, flat screen TV Sky Plus (bring your own card). The sun room is just the place to curl up and snooze in the sunshine!
Up the stripey stairs to four bedrooms, three of which have lovely views. Two twin rooms, one with en suite shower with loo and wash hand basin, a second twin room ideal for children and two double bedrooms - one with en suite bathroom with bath, loo and wash hand basin, the second double room has a single bed which can be made up as an extra bed if you give us a call, a family bathroom with loo, bath with shower over, wash hand basin and bidet.
Outside lawns to the front of the house and a patio to the back of the house.
A perfect house for two families or group of friends wanting to visit this stunning part of North Wales.

Probably the best equipped and appointed property we've ever stayed in. Stunning views, bracing walks along the beach and the quietly elegant town of Criccieth all make for a relaxing and revitalising break. Boyd and Sally Wild
Fabulous house with stunning views. We had a fantastic week and all agree we'd be back. Lindsay Craig
Where to start, fabulous location, beautiful house and ideal for all the joys the surrounding area has to offer.
Just back from Cae Nant and felt the immediate need to tell everyone how special it is.
Will return for certain Alan Kirke
Grossly understated! This is perfection. Idyllic location, superb facilities, cannot be faulted. We will definately return. Cathy and Barry, Knutsford Barry and Cathy
The position of the house is ideal with stunning views of the bay. Well stocked, quirky house with one or two improvements necessary but seemingly pending ie new mattresses. We stayed with our sons and their wives, a three year old and two babies and there was ample room for all of us. Criccieth is lovely with a fabulous a fish and chip shop opposite the ice cream parlour..be prepared to queue. Staff in the office were friendly and helpful and we have booked again for next year. Catherine Kettlewell
The best place to stay for a holiday in Criccieth, I have had many great times here. The views are brilliant, easy to get to the beach shops and the mountains too. Anne Pearson
