Accommodation Details

Cae'r Dderwen is a spacious bright dormer bungalow forming part of Hendy, a well known family dairy and sheep farm, set in its own enclosed garden and grounds. Hendy is next door, also set in its own grounds - your privacy is as important to the owners as theirs!!

Special care has been taken by the Jones family to make the house welcoming for guests with special mobility needs or those using a wheelchair. The doors are wide, there is a large wet room downstairs, outside the garden paths are wide and level making access to visit the farm animals comfortable and easy. There is access down the lane on to the tarmacadamed cycle track and public footpath which heads north into Caernarfon or south toward the Lleyn Peninsula.


There is masses to do from Cae'r Dderwen, walk or cycle into the historic town of Caernarfon with its splendid castle and interesting places to eat. A visit to the Galeri is not to be missed, Plas Menai watersports centre, Snowdon, boat trips and fishing are all available close by. The golden sands of Dinas Dinlle, a Blue Flag beach, is easily reached by bike or a short drive, you can even hop on one of the little trains of the Welsh Highland Railway in Caernarfon which passes the bottom of the drive and chug gently along to Caernarfon or in the opposite direction travel through some of Wales' most breathtaking scenery to Beddgelert and on down the Glaslyn Pass to Porthmadog.

A welcoming house ideal for large families or groups. A large farmhouse kitchen with spacious dining area is well equipped with dishwasher, fridge, electric double oven and hob, the farmhouse dining table has plenty of space for wheelchair, the utility room houses the washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge, freezer and separate sink, downstairs loo.

Spacious sitting room with patio doors opening on to the garden, the wood burning stove makes it snug and welcoming in the autumn and winter months, TV and DVD.

Double bedroom, wet room with wheel in or walk in shower, grab and hand rails, two twin bedrooms one with TV. Upstairs to a spacious children's room with three single beds, shower room with loo basin and electric wall heater, double bedroom with en-suite shower, wash hand basin and loo.

Games room with pool table and sliding patio doors open on to the yard which catches the evening sun a nice place to sit and relax on the bench after a busy day on holiday!

Outside an enclosed garden pleasant yard area with tubs of flowers, garden furniture and benches.

A great house for families, groups of walkers, cyclists or train enthusiasts or all three!!
