This is such an exciting house! Nestling in the hills above Llyn Padarn sits this fantastic Chapel built in 1862. Capel Fachwen is simply one of the finest chapel conversions we have seen and we are so delighted it is now available for guests to enjoy. Contemporary and warm, this beautiful family home is an ideal location to get away from it all and relax in the wooded slopes of Llanberis Valley a truly stunning part of the world!

There is much to do in this area. Llanberis is nearby with its many tourist attractions, Electric Mountain, The numerous slate mines and even The Snowdonia Railway, a great way to reach the very highest peak in Wales, Snowdon. Llangollen is a pretty town with lots to offer. There plenty of little tea shops and restaurants as well as an array of interesting shops to visit for memento's of your wonderful holiday in North Wales. For people who enjoy outdoor activities there is no better place with many walks right from the doorstep amidst stunning rugged scenery.

The chapel itself is beautifully contemporary but the owners have cleverly restored many original features which seamlessly complement this spacious luxury house. Church pews and high ceilings with wonderful original plasterwork and the superb mosaic dining table combine with an ultra modern kitchen complete with its own space age pop up extraction!

The communal space at Capel Fachwen is very much open plan and sociable. The kitchen and dining and small sitting area are all on the lower part of the ground floor and make for a really great space for family and friends to enjoy. The upper part of the ground floor is a very comfortable sitting area with large TV and views out towards the valley, there is a door leading out to a decking area which is ideal in the summertime to sit out with a drink and soak up the sunshine and lake vista. There is also a utility room with a washer and dryer, fridge/freezer and a cloakroom - this room is nice and warm and a great place for your dog to sleep! There is a seperate 'snug' which is perfect to sit and enjoy your book in blissful peace and quiet.

On the first floor there is a magnificent bedroom with a glorious painted timber ceiling and a modern, tasteful ensuite with a walk in shower and large roll top bath, basin and loo. Up again and there are four further double bedrooms with spectacular views towards the Llyn Padarn and the mountains beyond. Also on the first floor is a large bathroom with a basin, loo, bath and shower.

There is a large enclosed garden at the rear of the property which climbs further up the hill, a great place for your children to explore! There is plenty of off road parking to the side and in front of the house. 

This truly is a superb house and a much loved family home but there is also an unmistakably unique, eclectic sense of a rock stars' country retreat, a place to get away, re-invigorate or a perfect place for a get together with friends and family.

First impressions of this property are 'WOW'!! Stunning location and impressive garden. We have just had a lovely week despite the weather in Fachwen and the house just made it, the facilities were spot on for big cooking, the well stocked herb and spice cupboard as well as all the tea and sauces were an added bonus it was nice to go to a house that had these extra's! The bedrooms were all a great size and the lovely bathrooms were great. Only one thing to mention to future guests is to remember slippers as the floor in the main area is marble and is a tad chilly on your feet, the bedrooms are very warm though. We recently stayed here, and we were blown away by the place. The main room (open plan kitchen, dining and sitting area) is stunning - the full height of the chapel - and is a really sociable space. The bedrooms are all lovely and a decent size, and the bathroom is like something from a style magazine. Even though the house has been decorated and fitted out to modern standards, a lot of the original character has been retained. And the owner has thought of everything that guests might need. A final word about the garden, whic is lovely, with breathtaking views to the mountains. I'll be going again! Justine Delroy

Fantastic place for a group to stay and enjoy Snowdonia. The property is delightful and very spacious with magnificent views across to Llanberis and Snowden. Will definitely be booking again. Simon Dixon

Wow what a property! The location is stunning with its views over the Snowdon Range but internally Capel Fachwen has to be seen to be believed. The standard of finishes in all rooms is very high, there is a great sense of space throughout and every facility one could possibley need has been thoughtfully provided.
