This is a cottage for the explorer and sightseer. Look at a map of Anglesey and put a pin right in the center of the island, the chances are you will hit Cefn Cwmwd Cottages. As a base this is a perfect location as you are only fifteen minutes from anywhere on the island. So if its beaches or attractions that you wish to see or you don't know Anglesey and wish to explore the whole island then there is no better place to be.Drum (the name of a mountain peak) is spacious and comfortable and all on one level. The kitchen is very well equipped and certainly an enticement to cook wonderful meals during your stay. A gas hob and electric oven, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine are all here in your home from home. The dining area is part of the kitchen with comfortable seating for four.
Drum is an end property on this barn conversion and is blessed with a large feature window in the master bedroom. There is also another twin bedroom.
The bathroom is large and luxurious with honed travertine tiles which give a stylish and warm impression. There is a bath with a shower attachment, a basin and loo.
The sitting room is open plan to the kitchen and dining area and like the rest of the house has oak floors throughout. There are two sumptuous sofas to sink into and rest your weary feet. The TV and DVD player are there if the weather isn't at its best.
Clearly the owner has paid a great deal of attention to what makes a super holiday cottage. The soft furnishings and superior linen and towels are a lovely touch and even the pictures on the wall are canvasses of photographs taken around Anglesey, but for me the location is great, just five minutes in the car to the bustling market town of Llangefni, and close to any beach and attraction. Plan ahead if you're staying here because there is so much to do and see!
