Accommodation Details
This grand 19th century family home in North Wales stands in beautiful parkland with far reaching views, offering a unique retreat where you can relax with family and friends. Coed Coch offers a rare opportunity to live the 'Country House' lifestyle, from as little as £62.50 per person per night. Within easy reach of Chester and Manchester it is a perfect base from which to explore the local area, enjoy a range of country pursuits or gather together for a special celebration.Spectacular parkland surrounds the house with many footpaths and walks, fishing on the lake offers the challenge of catching a monster carp, or simply soak up the splendour of this magnificent home and enjoy a country house weekend, complete with housekeeper and cook (if required) to look after your day to day requirements.
An ecclectic collection of paintings, ceramics and bronzes are to be found round every corner. The magnificent bronze lurcher makes a stunning centrepiece in the welcoming oak panelled hall, where you can flop into a chair by the log burning stove after a bracing walk and have a quiet drink from the neatly hidden bar!
The drawing room is large and comfy with a 'shabby chicness', piles of coffee table books to browse through, log fires burn wood from the estate and deep squidgy sofas and chairs where you can reflect on your day.
The dining room has a splendid table extending to seat 26, after dinner you may like to play cards in the snug little card room.
The kitchen is the hub of the house equipped for all your needs with Aga, dishwashers, electric cookers and masses and masses of crockery, cutlery, dishes, and pots and pans of every shape and size. Huge farmhouse table for breakfast and kitchen sofa and chairs set around the fireplace, where you can watch TV on a huge flat screen.
A gorgeous emerald green carpet winds its way up the staircase to eight bedrooms all with their own bath or shower rooms, a combination of twins and doubles, using fabulous colours, combined with carefully chosen curtains, rugs and paintings making it hard to choose a favourite room!
Three twin rooms - The Yellow Room, Kitty's Room and Jack and Hec's Room. Llewesog has a double bed, The Blue Room has a queen sized bed, and The Best Attic, The Best Spare and The Orange Room all have king sized beds.
As befits such a house, you will be met on arrival and shown to your rooms. Your beds will also be made each day and breakfast things cleared. Sally is on hand to cook for you if needed, using the best local produce. Menus and prices can be provided upon request.
The boot room is available for storage of walking boots etc and if you have arranged to bring your dog we ask that it is kept in the boot room and not in the house.
To complete your stay we can arrange for additional activities such as golf, guided walks or even gorge scrambling!
A splendid country house, Coed Coch is welcoming, elegant, contemporary, stylish, comfortable and, unlike many large country houses, warm!
Coed Coch is a working farm and stud and the owners may be in residence at times, your privacy and freedom to enjoy the house and grounds is of paramount importance to them.
Available on a day to suit you.
