Chic, contemporary, fun, quirky and sparkling! This is a fabulous apartment in the most breathtaking location overlooking the harbour at Porthmadog, where the Afon Glaslyn runs down to meet the sea. The yachts sitting on the moorings give way to the marsh meadows with fantastic wildlife and beyond to Cnicht, the Welsh Matterhorn and the backdrop of Snowdonia.This splendid Grade II listed building is in a quiet pretty cobbled area of Porthmadog Harbour - "Pen Cei" - head of the quay. The town has a an eclectic mix of shops, galleries, restaurants, pubs and some of North Wales best attractions, home to the Welsh Highland and Ffestiniog Railways, Portmeirion is just across the famous Cob built by Madock hence the name of this once busy seafaring town, Port Madoc.
Not a penny has been spared in the restoration of The Old Cornmill, which can be let with Cornmill Courtyard to sleep 4 (please ask for price), or individually.
The Old Cornmill is a cool, chic, bijou romantic hideaway with breathtaking views, carefully thought out and presented to make your stay memorable. Oak floors, wonderful pictures, the most fabulous breakfast bar retro stools.... you have to go just to see them!!
A calm relaxing double bedroom with beamed ceiling, low level king size double bed and plenty of hanging space in the fitted wardrobes.
The open plan living space is sublime. White washed stone walls, oak floors, carefully chosen lighting and pictures, contemporary comfy sofas, NAD music system and new flat screen TV/DVD with home theatre system. The kitchen area is well equipped with dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, electric cooker and hob, frost free fridge and freezer.
The shower room has a power shower, italian porcelain wash hand basin, heated towel rail and a loo with a view!!
Outside is a gated private enclosed courtyard area where you can sit and watch the world go by and the boats sailing in and out of the harbour.
Once you have stayed here you will be back!
