Accommodation Details
This is just the most heavenly little hideaway with spectacular views and private access to a white sandy beach. It is quaint and quirky, just the ideal cottage to take stock of life, recharge your batteries and soak up this wonderful piece of coastline. Facing Harlech across the Glaslyn estuary, with the magnificent back drop of hills!!If you are looking for top of the range and minimalist decor this is not for you. If you want charm, character and somewhere quite different - it is!
The sitting room has magnificent views from every chair and the wood burning stove is great to snuggle up to on cold and blustery winter nights, in addition to the central/storage heating throughout the cottage. In the summer throw open the door and let the sun pour in. There are comfy chairs and sofas, masses of books and music and if you can tear yourself away from the view there is a TV with DVD. One step up takes you into the heart of the original 250 year-old cottage and a dear little quiet corner with beamed ceiling and a small, almost peat type fireplace, smouldering away, just the place to curl up with a book and snooze! The dining room also has wonderful views and the lack of light pollution makes the night view just as entrancing, as you relax over meals at the farmhouse dining table. The bright new kitchen is equipped with electric cooker, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and microwave.
Two bedrooms: one double bedroom (with wash hand basin) which opens on to the terrace and a small single room (with wash hand basin). Two bathrooms: the upstairs bathroom has limited headroom and is quite quaint with bath, loo and wash hand basin. The downstairs bathroom has a bath with a shower over, loo and wash hand basin.
Outside there is a paved terrace running along the front of the cottage and an excellent BBQ with stone table. There is plenty of lawn, and steps down to the beach, which is safe for swimming, but be watchful of the tides as there are currents at the beginning and end of each tide.
Take a step back in time and relax in this idyllic little cottage.
The steps leading down to the jetty and beach are very steep but quite stable, there is no handrail. The garden is not suitable for small children, the elderly or any one a bit wobbly on their pins as part of the garden boundary is not fenced.

This cottage is amazing and the views are phenomenal. The cottage has everything you could wish for and the kitchen is well equiped. We had been there for a week and were still finding interesting things in the cottage to look at. The weather was not too good but that did not spoil things as the views from the lounge and dining rooms were fantastic, we could have spent the whole week just sitting looking out of the windows at the view. Not forgetting the huge number of books to browse through - a bookcase at every turn !. A truly wonderful cottage which we definately plan to return to. Dilys Jones
My husband and i have stayed at this cottage more than once and every time its as enchanting as the last. In either summer or winter this cottage is a great location for a break away from the stresses of life. There is lots to do near the cottage and even more to visit a short drive away, but we preferred to cosy up in front of the open fire with a bottle of wine and let the world pass us by. We plan to make another visit this year at some point with our 4 month year old son. Jodie Stanbrook
You'll want to come back time and time again. Perfect for relaxing and getting away from it all. The best cottage I've ever stayed in. R Pugh
I love this cottage, and would do anything to rent it every week!
It is so cosy, and the views really are to die for. It changes every second, and is equally as mesmorising on a windy grey day with a slate coloured sea, to a summer's day with the sun beating down on the powder house.
it is clearly well loved, and the owners clearly have excellent taste in literature and furniture.
enjoy...
RJ, Beaconsfield Rhiannon
Great place to stay-I could sit and look out at the view all day every day and watch the sea. Unspoilt beach couldn't be closer...bliss :) gillypoos
