This cottage is new to Menai Holiday as is Ireland!!

Granasig is owned by the Donnelly family, who many of you will know own Pantlleni, one of our most sought after cottages in Snowdonia, so you know that at Granasig you will be made most welcome and cared for in this delightful cottage.

Just 28 miles from Cork Airport or 3.5 hours drive from Dublin. The cottage is between Kinsale known to many for its foodie qualities and to yachties! The rather less commercial town of Clonakilty is also known for good food and shops and interesting crafts and galleries. The food, scenery and welcome in this part of Cork are outstanding!

Sitting on the edge of this small peninsula Granasig is the most outstanding location. I went in the rain and still it was glorious, the beach, Howe Strand, is not private but it may as well be!! However if you want lots of action and buzz then over the other side of the headland you have the funky surfing beaches - worlds apart!

In every room you can see the Donnelly's passion for wood, much of the furniture, floors and all the kitchen made by Mark coupled with Mary's artistic flair - you cannot fail to love this cottage.

Comfy, welcoming, bright, and contemporary throughout, which is not evident from its rather humble exterior!! Cosy and warm year round with central heating, the sitting room has open fireplace, comfy furniture and glorious views, plenty of books, table and chairs in the window, overlook the beach from the large corner window, the kitchen/breakfast room with French windows opening on to a decked area and garden a cheerful room with a bespoke Donnelly kitchen, equipped with dishwasher, washing machine microwave, double electric cooker and hob fridge and freezer, dining table and chairs.

Four bedrooms, two double rooms with great views, hand made beds!! And two single rooms, bright and perky with a nautical touch. One of the double rooms has an extra single bed.

Bathroom with bath and shower over, loo and wash hand basin.

Outside large garden and small decked area garden furniture and peace and tranquillity beyond your wildest dreams.
