Accommodation Details
Hafod Rhug Uchaf is a fine traditional stone built cottage sitting next to the main farm house where the owners live.
The views from the cottage stretch across the land farmed by the family and grazed by the sheep, over Caernarfon Castle across the Menai Strait to Anglesey, the wonderful white beach at Llanddwyn with the lighthouse at the point a well known landmark, the view then stretches beyond to open sea and Holyhead Mountain.
An ideal location for rock climbers - you can walk from the cottage to the Beacon Climbing Centre
The cottage has been carefully renovated to provide a really warm and cosy house all year round. The owners have retained the original charm - I love the half dresser in the dining room the kitchen has a great feel combining old and new.
The beamed ceiling and open fire place in the sitting room make it a delightful comfy room, TV with freeview DVD, a great selection of DVDs, a really nice dining room with wooden floors, the original fireplace, though no longer in use adds to the character of this room, CD player. A great kitchen with washing machine, electric hob and oven, toaster, fridge freezer and microwave.
Upstairs to two double bedrooms and a single bed room, bathroom with bath, separate shower, loo and wash hand basin.
Outside there is a sitting area with garden furniture - you will love the views.
A great holiday cottage with great views and a great welcome.
This is a really comfortable cottage in a stunning location. The owners are welcoming and very hospitable. There are plenty of activities and things to visit close by. Thoroughly recommended. Michael Wood
