Accommodation Details

Turn the corner on the drive and you see the ocean in front of you and at the bottom of the drive is the most fantastic holiday house. This conversion has just been completed this year and it is fabulous! A careful mix of old and new make this such an interesting cottage to stay in, it is so different. Look for the collection of keys, rough coated walls, pretty windows, wonderful comfy beds, contempory furniture - there is nothing more you could want except for good friends or family to share the experience of visiting this house and very beautiful part of Anglesey with.

In the springtime the banks on either side of the quiet lanes that approach the cottage are a mass of wild flowers, the views are breathtaking, a great sandy blue flag beach round the corner at Church Bay as well as two good places to eat, the Anglesey Coastal Path is nearby, as are many good attractions.

I doubt you will want to go far from the cottage!

A large cosy sitting room, through to the dining room both with fantastic sea views towards the West Mouse, oak floors, deep comfy leather sofas, I love the sweet little window. Flat screen TV with Sky, French windows onto the decked terrace complete with hot tub.  I am sure you will linger over meals enjoying the views.  Steps up to the kitchen which is very well equippped with gas hob and electric oven, dishwasher, washing machine & microwave.

Two downstairs bedrooms, one double bedrooms both with king size leather sleigh beds complete with lovely bed linen and squishy feather duvets and a twin bedroom. Shower room with a large corner shower, loo and wash hand basin.

Upstairs to a second fun and funky sitting room, great sofa and chairs, and another TV with Sky, a glorious bathroom with oak floor, roll top cast iron bath, loo and wash hand basin, two double bedrooms and a bedroom with twin beds.

Pretty tubs of plants and flowers, round the corner is a peaceful area just outside the kitchen, ideal for al fresco meals or morning coffee.

We stayed at Hen Gilfach and are hooked !

There is a little trepidation when you first turn off the tiny twisty road into an even smaller track that leads to the property, but you soon realise that this is what makes Hen Gilfach so special ... its beautiful location and quiet setting !

Once in the property you also realise how much love and care and thought has gone into this home and it is absolutely beautiful and tastefully decorated and equipped. Most importantly, it is also spotlessly clean!

The Hot Tub is great, the views are lovely, the whole house oozes character, and Tracy ( the owner ) is near enough if you need anything extra or just to ask about where to go or what to see.

The beaches are un-spoilt and very quiet ..... if you want a lovely place to relax with friends or family but still have the availability of things to do ... then look no further !!

We will definatly be booking again !! We loved it !

Absolutly stunning location -far enough from everywhere to really feel like you've left the world behind, but close enough to local shops and ameneties to be convenient. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The property has been finished to a very high standard, and has a really homely feel. we had a brilliant week at this property our ages ranged from 4 months to 84 top class property friendly and helpful owners furnished to a high standard children particularly liked the hot tub and didn't want to go home adults loved the power shower would recommend this cottage to anyone and have done so already the Carson Family

We had a lovely week at this cottage. Finished to such a high standard with plenty of room for 2/3 families. Hot tub was a special treat with the stars so bright on a night. The children enjoyed the play area and there are beaches and walks close by. Highly recommend a relaxing week here! Ian and Carole Carter

Hen Gilfach enjoys a lovely view of the West Mouse from its quiet hillside position.
The property was newly fitted out for 2009 and has oil fired central heating, a gas stove with an electric fan oven and two TV systems.
There is plenty of room to park cars and for children to play. There are footpaths leading to Carmel Head.
We enjoyed the bottle of wine which was a pleasant surprise when we arrived. Michael A. Chare

We had a fantastic week at Hen Gilfach. The house is amazing- beautifully kitted out and suited our needs perfectly. We were three generations, six adults, one teenager and two barmy under fives and we had plenty of space`to do our respective things.
The owners' family were really helpful and friendly too. A lovely house with incredible views- Hen Gilfach was a perfect base for our holiday.
Billy (aged 5) summed it up, "I am so happy I could pop!"

We had the most amazing time at Hen Gilfach. As soon as we arrived we knew we would want to return, again and again. Perfectly located, in the countryside with views of the sea, with the added bonus of the hot tub and large decking area, so that you could relax and enjoy the views. Tracy and David the owners, are close by should you need anything at all, and are so helpful, making sure your stay is the best it can be. We had friends and family stay with us during our week long stay, and everyone loved the cottage, which is decorated to a high standard. We were the first people to stay at Hen Gilfach. The property was excellent, it had been converted to the highest standard with beautiful furniture throughout. The location is very secluded down a farm track, which was fantastic because there is very little noise and no passing traffic. There are great sea views from the property. The owners are lovely people and make you very welcome. In summary, my wife and two children had a great week at Hen Gilfach and would recommend it to anyone. Howard Hornby
