We have stayed on Anglesey many times in great accommodation, but nothing is like Glan Morfa, a unique place to stay, well done to the owners for a 20 year development, the walks are brilliant, Kestrel does have its own special corner, originally built fot the owners wife and her family to live in, thankfully she was happy to stay where they lived. I thanked her personally yesterday morning when we had to leave!
I cannot find fault with it, Ron and his son Chris both commented we were unlucky with the weather, well to be honest, I dont really think that matters as much as it does at most other places, just chill in the conservatory and soak up the stunning views.
I have to agree with the previous poster on all counts, this will not be our last visit, already booking for next May and will most likely visit again next month. Wow. Steve Taylor
January - Our third stay in Kestrel. We were lucky to see a family of four OTTERS feeding in one of the lakes in the nature reserve. Wonderful birdwatching at Maltraeth Cob. We spent most early mornings in the conservatory watching the sun rise over the mist in the valley. The wood-burning stove keeps the cottage cosy even in mid-winter. We've booked another week in May! Chris Rhodes
This is a very comfortable cottage and the owners are extremely friendly and helpful. The conservatory is very spacious, with a comfortable suite, including a recliner chair from which to enjoy the spectacular view. The nature reserve is wonderful, full of birds (we counted 33 species, but the record so far is 43) and flowers - the primroses were stunning. The skies are dark, so astronomy is excellent from the patio. We shall certainly stay at Kestrel again. Chris Rhodes
