Accommodation Details

This is simply a fabulous holiday house. Eclectic, luxurious, peaceful and unique are words that came to mind as I write the description. Direct frontage to the beach coupled with the most glorious 180 degree views of the bay. If you want a relaxing luxurious holiday this is the house and you will have fun ... you can tell by the name!

A short stroll along the beach takes you to the village where you will find plenty of places to eat and drink, a good general store, Gecko, Fat Face, kite and wind surfing school. Tennis courts, 18 hole golf course and fishing are a short walk in the opposite direction and a little further is the railway station if you are thinking of your carbon footprint.

Lovely golden beaches, safe swimming, plenty of watersport activities available, walking on the Anglesey Coastal footpath, or shorter well marked walks in and around the village.

Open plan downstairs kitchen dining and sitting room with windows the length of the room and a sliding door opening on to a decked terrace. The sitting area has low level modern sofas and chairs set around a gas flame, flueless fire, no TV in the sitting room, to one side dining table and chairs, easy for al fresco meals. Combining the two rooms is a kitchen for cooks!! Five ring electric hob, double oven, fridge, freezer, bottle cooler, slate work tops and limestone and slate floors, don't drop anything! Two dishwashers and all the mod cons you could possible ask for, there should be some amazing meals in store.

State of the art Bose sound system [radio CD and ipod] provides fabulous sound throughout the open plan living area with the option of outside speakers for the terrace.

The ground floor master bedroom has fabulous views with doors opening on to a little decked terrace, king size bed with canopy, en-suite bathroom with loo, basin and bidet, the double ended bath fills from the ceiling!

Separate cloakroom with loo and basin. A superb wet room with two huge shower heads and belfast sink, combined with masses of hot water to make this ideal for wet sailors and children coming in from the sea. This is accessed from the garden via the garage with washer and dryer.

Upstairs past the interesting mirror, you can't fail to have a quick look!! Doors opening on to the balcony from the landing with wonderful outside bean bags, ideal place to relax and soak up the views.

Three bedrooms on the first floor: double bedroom with door opening on to the balcony, en-suite shower room with large shower, loo and funky recycled glass basin and two further double bedroom. A separate family bathroom with the most enormous bath I think I have ever seen, loo, basin and heated towel rail.

TV room/snug - glorious colours of cinnamon and saffron, deep floor level Moroccan style seating, flat screen TV and DVD, a great room to chill and watch a film or TV.

Outside the entire length of the front of the house is a decked terrace which leads on to the beach across private dunes with sheltered sun traps for relaxing out of the breeze or an evening sundowner and BBQ.

Teak garden table with canopy and chairs and Weber BBQ.

Visitor Comments

House is indeed beautiful, but we found it very hard to relax as it is next door to an RAF training base. The aircraft noise was awful, especially at night and we feel the proximity should be warned of on the website. Also note no curtains in main bedrooms so you are awake with the dawn, like it or not! Lastly, a bonus for some but drawback for others is that there is no TV in the main living room. Good points are the almost deserted beach so close, good facilities in kitchen and a generally high spec finish. Jackie Mason
