Borth y Gest is a delightful much sought after village set around a
pretty little bay with sandy beach just a short stroll from the house,
as are the village tea room and restaurant.
This is a fantastic
peaceful location with many quality attractions a short drive away: the newly extended Welsh Highland Railway, now running to Caernarfon through picturesque Aberglaslyn, the Ffestiniog Railway which chugs up to Llechwedd Slate Quarry,
Portmeirion, the well know Italianate village, Snowdon the highest
mountain in Wales and England, and the wonderful sandy beach of Black
Rock sands, combined with the most breathtaking scenery in the United
Kingdom, and plenty of really good Restaurants to suit all tastes and
budgets!
The owners have cleverly combined old and new to
provide a bright, comfy contemporary holiday house. Large open plan
sitting room with views of Moel Y Gest.Comfy sofas sit either side of
the multifuel stove for the cooler autumn and winter nights and to the
far end is the dining area with large oak farmhouse table and chairs.
The well-equipped kitchen with split-level electric oven and hob,
combination microwave oven, fridge and deep freeze, dishwasher, washer
/ dryer. The door from the kitchen leads up steep steps to a terraced
garden where you can relax at the end of a day with a drink or enjoy a
quiet morning coffee with the papers.
The TV room is great for
the younger members of the family or those wanting a little bit of
peace and quiet!Open fireplace, TV with Freesat, DVD and Video, large
selection of games, books, DVDs and videos are available.
Under the stairs is cloakroom with loo and wash hand basin. Limited head room!!
Upstairs
four bedrooms; the two front double rooms have impressive views to Moel
y Gest whilst the single bedroom and large twin room overlook the
terraced garden. All rooms have original Victorian fireplaces (not
working) and carefully chosen soft furnishings. Bathroom with shower
over the bath, wash hand basin and loo.
