We have read the other reviews and its true west keepers cottage is without doubt the best cottage and indeed best holiday by far having stayed on anglesey for over 30 years.the cottage is fantastic massive kitchen with everything fitted and a huge dining table.very bright rooms with fantastic views from the living room, robin&Iona were the perfect hosts very friendly and welcoming but still giving you your privacy.one night the foghorn did go off for a while but it didnt bother us that much but hey your stopping at a light house you want the full experience.coastal footpath is only a 5 minute walk from the cottage and the scenery is breathtaking.we also fed the horses apples and carrots everytime we passed them.the sunsets were fantastic and we couldnt get over the fact that it was still not dark at 11pm.Iona fetched us one evening to watch a pod of dolphins swimming past the lighthouse our pictures were ok but robins were excellent.we saw seals every morning and porpoises as well.access to point lynas was great some properties we have stayed in have involved driving down one car lanes and you always meet a tractor coming the opposite way.thats not a problem at point lynas nice two car roads access no problem and parking for two cars easily.to sum up this review west keepers cottage was withoutdoubt the best cottage we have stayed in on anglesey in 30 years and we have stayed in quite a few.west keepers cottage is perfect, location is perfect.robin&Iona are the perfect hosts.before i forget the fruit cake on arrival was a lovely thought and very welcome.we would highly recommend this cottage to everyone. steve&bridget johnson
Very reluctantly we had to leave the lovely West Keeper's cottage. We had a wonderful week, the views were amazing, ever changing, depending on the weather. When the weather was blowing a gale at night,it was lovely to be able to curl up in front of a real fire,in a very comfy cottage.I had a ball feeding the ponies their own body weight in carrots and apples.Should Fin,the Irish Wolf hound, ever feel like a change, there is always room at our house.Robin and Iona were tremendous hosts, friendly and very welcoming.Really lovely people. On our last morning we were lucky enough to see pods of dolphins thanks to them taking the time to tell us they were swimming below the lighthouse. How fantastic is that! This location certainly has the "Wow" factor and we intend to return. Kevin & Beryl and the girls. Kevin & Beryl Lowe
just stayed at this fantastic light house keepers cottage for 1 week, and what a week it was, just fantastic, views were magnificent from large window in living room, porpoises bathing in the sea, wild ponies on the Headland, very tame i must say.It was great to see the waves crashing aganist the rocks and the foghorn sounding when visibility got within 2 miles.just a beautiful cottage in a exceptional location, probably the best we have been on so far.The scenary is outstanding to say the least, cottage lovely and clean, everything you could wish for,the owners Robin and Iona lovely people, make you feel really at home, could of stayed there for ever, just so peaceful and tranquil, will be back next year without a doubt, thanks for a wonderful Hol.Shirley, Peter and Kizzy the dog. On very rare occasions, a holiday cottage is every bit as good as the advertisement. On rarer still occasions it is a bit better. It is exceedingly rare that it is masses better, but West Cottage was. It was beautifully clean, well equipped, really tastefully decorated, and with views to die for. This was our 34th visit to Wales, and West Cottage is without doubt the best we've ever been to, and Menai Holidays has never let us down yet!! Iona and Robin made us incredibly welcome, they were two of the most charming people you could hope to meet, and they always went the extra mile to make sure that we were happy. The views are unbelievable, and the atmosphere unique. Normally, I'm quite happy to come home and get back to my own fireside/bed, but I would have stayed here forever. (Please!!!) The three of us in the party, including Mother-in-law who is 90, were all enthusiastic, as were two of the younger members of the family who visited us for one night. Please, if it ever comes up for sale, let me know, and it should be no probelm selling the mother-in-law into the White Slave Trade, and I can be there within 24 hours. Thanks both to Robin and Iona, and also Menai Holiday Cottages for the most fantastic stay. I know we all say this, but this time I REALLY mean it - we will be back! Dave and Ann Manton
