Accommodation

Ty Traeth, which simply means ‘Beach House', is a superb holiday house, located on a quiet road just five minutes' walk from the centre of Rhosneigr. Spacious and contemporary, it has so much to offer both inside and out.

Rhosneigr is a buzzing little village with the most spectacular beach. Here you can enjoy all manner of water sports and sailing. There is so much to do here, with plenty of places to eat and drink: a cocktail bar, a pancake house, Thai restaurant and many more. There is a handful of shops here too, if you need a bit of retail therapy or have forgotten anything for days on the beach. Rhosneigr is also known for its plane spotting, with the RAF Valley air base close by (but not too close by!) You may even catch a glimpse of royalty!

The owners have built Ty Traeth with entertaining in mind. The design is all about open spaces and rooms flowing into each other - simply a great family house that is so bright and airy. The dining room is the centrepiece, with its vaulted ceilings, overlooked by a galleried landing area. A favourite spot of mine is the reading area on the galleried landing, where you can take a few moments to sit and read a book. All the bedrooms are bright and comfortable, with crisp, clean white sheets and high quality oak furniture.

Bedrooms
On the ground floor is a twin bedroom, perfect for those who don't want to be climbing stairs or who prefer a little more seclusion. Upstairs are four further bedrooms: three double rooms and a twin room, all with lovely sea views. One of the beds is a super-king which can be split into two singles.

Bathrooms
On the top floor is a superb, spacious bathroom, perfect for the needs of a large family, with walk-in shower, free-standing bath, ‘his and hers' sinks and a large towel rail heater. En suite shower room in master bedroom. Downstairs loo in utility room.

Galleried dining room
There is lots of light in this room, with floor-to-ceiling windows on all aspects, taking in views of the fine garden and flowers (and goldfish!)

Kitchen
Off the dining room is the spacious kitchen, with gas range cooker and a wealth of features for the very best dinner party requirements! There is a great breakfast bar and a separate breakfast table. The colourful sofa is a great spot to curl up on with a coffee and the morning paper.

Sitting room
Across the way and through the double doors from the dining room is the sitting room, a cosy and very comfortable room.

Utility room
Spacious utility room with a washing machine and plenty of hanging space.

Garden
The garden is completely enclosed and very pretty, with palm trees and a fish pond.

Ample parking

Location
Rhosneigr is fast gaining a reputation as one of the finest kitesurfing spots in the UK. Many water sports are available, as well as tennis and horseriding. The Ty Croes racetrack is about 15 minutes away by car.

Visitor Comments

We chose Ty Traeth for a relaxing four day break with our family. Everyone enjoyed the spacious house and there was plenty of room without feeling crowded .
The kitchen was well equipped and the large grill was a bonus which made a full english breakfast easy to prepare .
We enjoyed sitting at the large oak table for our meals and for playing board games.
The bedrooms were all a good size . Maybe an extra en suite would be useful if the house was full but it didn't cause us any problems.
All in all we had a great stay.

Returning for a second time we were not disappointed. The house remains beautiful and high standards have been maintained throughout.
Highly recommended to those who are looking for a 5 star property close to the beach and all amenities.

Well what a wonderful stay we have had. Starting with being blessed that our two sons and their girlfriends could join us on Mother's Day and the weather during the week being just great to get out and about with our pooch.

The house was just what we were looking for, it was clean, spacious and had everything required for use day to day in a home from home. The bedding and towels were new and ready for use with crisp white bedding.
What a lovely thought; wine and chocolates awaiting our arrival and the heating was on for us too.
The speed of wifi in the house was a very pleasant surprise indeed.

With multiple varieties of birds singing from the trees and one patrolling in the garden which we think was a partridge or pheasant was just lovely and added to the calming effect the house had on us. Unfortunately as I need a walk in shower we did not use the beautiful bath but I would highly recommend this house to anyone who likes the finer things available.
We tried the local chips and pizza - very nice.
We covered the whole island during our stay and visited more beaches in our one weeks stay than any other time in our previous visits to Rhosneigr over the years.
So all in all, the house was just great, close to all amenities and walking distance to the beach.
I have a challenge walking too far so we drove which literally took minutes and we saw some beautiful sunsets.
We will certainly look to come back again.
Thank you for providing a 5 Star break away from home.
