Wren Cottage is one of the seven cottages at Glan Morfa - winners of the 'Best Self-Catering Establishment of the Year', sponsored by InOut Magazine at the 2011 Anglesey Tourism Awards. The cottages are just a short drive from the wonderful beach at LLanddwyn and Newborough Forest, home to Anglesey's Red Squirrel colony.Glan Morfa has recently been awarded an area of significance by Dark Skies Discovery, identifying it as one of the best locations in the UK for stargazing and astronomy!
Wren Cottage stands in a peaceful area of outstanding natural beauty with two lakes, well marked footpaths, an abundance of wildlife and the most breathtaking view.
A cosy bright stone cottage with contemporary furnishings and cheerful soft furnishings. Wren Cottage has the most magnificent view across to the Malltraeth Estuary, you can sit and watch the tide coming and going and enjoy the solitude and peace this peaceful location offers.
Open plan living room with comfy sofas well positioned to soak up the view, dining table and chairs to one side, and well equipped kitchen with electric oven and hob, larder fridge and microwave. Freezer facilities are available in a nearby building just 25 meters fromm the house.
Bright and cheerful double bedroom with fabulous views. The shower room has a large shower with lots of hot water provided by solar energy and wind power, loo, wash hand basin, electric towel rail and shaver point.
If you are holidaying in a group, Wren Cottage can be booked together with its neighbouring cottages and the communal reception area can double as the perfect function room for you all to get together (please be aware that Internet access is available at reception and not in the houses) . We have been to Glan Morfa six times now - as ever our latest visit, this time at Wren Cottage, was wonderful. Great holiday for the grandchildren who had a marvelous time. Thanks to Ron and Chris for making everything a memorable adventure for the grandchildren. Their hospitality is second to none. We visited this cottage on the advice of our son and his family who visited previously. We agree with them that this is a very comfortable cottage with beautiful views. Newborough Beach is great and a walk out to the lighthouse a must. Thanks to Chris for telling us of Mo-Jo's in Rhosneiger. Their crepes are delicious and not to be missed.
