This stone built barn conversion is a joy. One of a row of three cottages, this end one enjoys panoramic views of the wild rocky outcrop of South Stack to one side and gorgeous sea views to the other. This is a delightfully quiet and secluded location with Trearddur Bay and Holyhead just a short drive away, or for the fit you could join the Anglesey Coastal Path and walk!! Y Barcud (meaning Kite) is a wonderfully comfortable, open plan living cottage waiting for you to enjoy its sumptuous and cosy interior.Y Barcud has a galleried sitting room complete with flat screen TV, DVD and Wi Fi the sitting room flows effortlessly through to a lovely cream shaker kitchen equipped with electric oven and hob, fridge and microwave. There is a shared freezer and washing machine in the outside utility. The dining table divides the two rooms and makes for a very sociable ambience to be enjoyed by family and friends.
Two bedrooms on the ground floor, one double bedroom with magnificent views, and one twin room. Both have wonderful high vaulted ceilings so you can gaze at the stars as you lie in bed! Up stairs to the third bedroom on the mezzanine level overlooking the sitting room. This is a triumph!
Carefully chosen fabrics and pretty furniture complement these lovely bedrooms.
A beautifully tiled bathroom again with the high vaulted ceilings I love the lighting, shower, wash hand basin and loo.
The front of the cottage has a pretty garden with table and chairs where you can sit and soak up the breathtaking views of the ocean. Holyhead Mountain towards South Stack is in front of you and Holyhead Harbour in the other direction. You'll never want to leave...
We have just returned from a fantastic few days at Y Barcud. The cottage is beautiful and Gwyneth is so accommodating and friendly. It is a great place to take your dog and we wished we could have stayed longer. We would have no hesitation in recommending this at all. Andy, Clare & Otto the dog
Have just finished our holiday and already want to come back, the accomodation was first class,fantastic views, everything had been thought of from the tea coffee + bottle of wine on arrival, down to the binoculars, games dvd's. the weather was fantastic which made the holiday. Gwyneth was very friendly and helpful, our children were allowed to use the bikes,swingball,cricket set etc and had a wonderful time we will definately be back. jason steer
