The middle of three very pretty stone cottages in a wonderful wild setting with glorious sea views, no light pollution, fantastic wild life. Enjoy peace and tranquility at this romantic retreat. If you want hustle and bustle the busy seaside village of Trearddur Bay is just along the road.Y Wylan, meaning seagull, has been beautifully put together carefully combining old and new, pretty fabrics and bits and bobs including of course a seagull or two! Pretty paintings, comfy mattresses and squashy duvets!
The living room is open plan, snug all year round. The dining table and chairs take their place well in the corner behind the sofa and chairs which look out through the French windows across pasture land where the Welsh Black cattle graze towards the mountain. The kitchen is equipped with electric oven and hob, fridge, microwave. A shared freezer and washing machine are in the outside utility room.
The double bedroom has wonderful views and a big comfy brass bed, en suite shower room which is fitted with large shower, loo and wash hand basin and a great lightfitting.
The front of the cottage has a pretty garden with table and chairs where you can sit and soak up the breathtaking views of the Irish Sea one way, Holyhead Mountain towards South Stack is in front of you and Holyhead Harbour to your right.......perfect!
For additional guests, neighbouring Y Barcud (sleeping 6) and Y Wennol (sleeping 2), can also be booked.

Thanks Gwyneth for a lovely time at Easter 2011. A gem of a find that we will visit many times in the future. Able to take our dog Jack with us and enjoyed every minute of our stay. Hope the upgrade of the rear barn is going well. C U All soon. Paul & Sheila (Warrington)
We have just returned home from this stunning holiday cottage, there was everthing you could ever need and so much more,Gwyneth is a lovely friendly lady who is so helpful, the cottage was spotlessly clean and could not fault it one little bit. The garden and surrounding area was just perfect for our dog Billy, the walks and beaches in the area are perfect. We arrived at the cottage to find fresh flowers, bottle of wine, tea ,coffee milk and some biscuits. We were also given fresh eggs whenever we needed them, it was just perfect and the weather was too and we hope to return real soon. Lou ,Steve and Billy, Stoke on Trent lou and steve banks
What a lovely cottage, beautiful location and most amenable host Gwyneth. The place is so peaceful and the cottage is extremely well equipped and tastefully decorated. The free broadband access was extremely useful for us to research all the wildlife and plants we saw during the day as well as keeping in touch with work in the evenings ( the joys of working freelance!).
The small garden was secure enough for our dog to stay out sunbathing while we were cooking or eating and there were lots of cattle free fields to walk in with the coastal path almost at the end of the farm driveway.
It was a perfect holiday and I can't wait to return. Thank you Gwyneth. Joyce, Stuart & Gus, Bolton
The accomodation is tip top couldn't ask for more,it was immaculate, comfortable and everything needed was supplied and more. Gwyneth is a lovely lady who was friendly and really helpful, stunning views and great walks around, Would give 10/10 marks and would love to reurn. NIGEL AND DEBBIE K
Just knew it would be lovely, from the moment we spoke to Gwyneth on the phone. A warm welcome awaited us, along with a selection of teas, coffee and biscuits, fresh flowers and eggsfrom her own chickens. A beautiful cottage well equiped, big luxurious bed, fantastic views from the comfy sofa. Can't wait to go back Bernadette & Mark Travers
We are actually here now. It's wonderful. The cottage is homely, the views are outstanding, and the owner is so helpful and friendly.
Just looking to book for next year! Anne-Marie Stevenson
We have just spent a few days at Y Wylan, The cottage is beautiful and so well equiped, warm and cosy. We arrived late in the evening so we were tired and were greeted with a lovely tea tray and biscuits milk in the fridge not to mention the bottle of wine which went down very nicely. Gywneth has thought of everything even binoculars. The surrounding countryside and wildlife is fantastic and on the doorstep. We are looking forward to our next visit in early September.
