A group of Yorkshire golfers who usually holiday in Portugal decided to venture to North Wales instead and claimed their golfing trip surpassed their expectations."Only half of the party had played golf in North Wales before and for some it was even the first time on a links course. Leigh Tasker, editor of Divine Magazine, an upmarket lifestyle magazine in Leeds who was one of the golfers as well as the trip organiser said; "The golf in North Wales was on a different planet. We played at six courses over 6 days on Anglesey, the North Wales north coast and the Lleyn Peninsula and found the whole experience totally amazing. The drive to Aberdovey was well worth every minute of the two hours as it simply took our breath away when we arrived. Nefyn, as one would expect for a unique championship golf course rated in the planet's top 100 with sea views from every tee, was awesome and the last nine holes at Porthmadog when the tide had gone out to reveal the beachy coves was just stunning. The golf courses offer something totally different to those we'd normally play in Portugal - being far more rugged and authentic - but pound for pound, North Wales is by far the better value. The whole holiday was about 50% cheaper!"

This architect designed house sits on the former site of the Bath Keepers cottage and feels like a sailing club. The bath keeper attended to the swimming baths, which was built on the opposite side of the road and filled with sea water. It commands the most splendid views up and down the Menai Strait and across to Anglesey. If you turn round and look out of the back windows you have a splendid view of the cows quietly chewing their cud with the hills behind.
