The small traditional town of Menai Bridge is the gateway to Anglesey, reached via Thomas Telford's bridge built to join Anglesey to the mainland in 1826.

With lovely cafes and good pubs (Tafarn y Bont, the Bridge Inn, comes highly recommended!) and a selection of small independent shops, visitors will find everything they need for their stay in the town.

Wonderful views of the Menai Straits, the mountains and, of course the bridge, can be seen from various points in the town and it is a great base for exploring both Anglesey and Snowdonia.
