When the tide goes it leaves a massive expanse of sand - almost 10 sq miles! This most picturesque of bays attracts a profusion of wildlife, including oystercatchers, grey plover, purple sandpipers, curlew, and dunlin and a short walk onto the sands will reveal why the beach is so popular with wading birds - an abundance of seashells on the seashore.

The small village has three restaurants - The Ship Inn, The Boathouse and St David's Tavern.  The beer garden at the Ship has views to die for!

The village of Red Wharf Bay, although small, is perfectly formed. It has three restaurants, The Ship Inn, The Boathouse and St Davids Tavern (on the headland). If you just fancy a pint al-fresco The Ship Inn has a beer garden with views to die for.

There are wonderful walks and cycle trails direct from the village and many of the Island's main attractions are within easy reach.
