Holiday Cottages in Snowdonia
The Snowdonia National Park covers 823 square miles of the most beautiful and unspoilt countryside in North Wales. With 100 lakes, 90 mountain peaks, as well as the tallest mountain in England and Wales, Snowdonia is popular with visitors who want to relax and enjoy a wide range of leisure activities. Attracting climbers and walkers from all over the world, it's a walker's paradise with hundreds of paths of varying degrees of difficulty. Properties in Snowdonia include the wonderful Brynkir Tower, a stunning Gothic Folly with internal stone spiral staircase, quaint little lakeside cottages, former chapels and traditional Welsh long cottages. The majority of the properties command the most magnificent views.
Take a trip on the Snowdon Mountain Railway or through some breathtaking scenery on the the Welsh Highland Railway, visit some of the many Castles at Conwy, Harlech or Caernarfon. Beddgelert and Betws Y Coed, Llanberis and Llanrwst all have interesting shops, galleries and good places to eat.
On the edge of Snowdonia is the beautiful Conwy Valley, where Bodnant Gardens and the Trefriw Woollen Mill are well worth a visit. If you have a head for heights, call into Tree Top Adventure, also in the Conwy Valley - a great high ropes course, with a smaller course for younger visitors.
