This mature course was designed in the late 1880s by Sir Richard Williams Bulkeley and measures a deceptive 5,596 yards in length and is created on mature heathland. The Par 68 course threads it's way through natural hazards - a river defends three of the holes as it meanders down to the Menai Straits. Baron Hill is a thinking golfers course where every club in the bag will be required to breach its defences and the watch word is very much ‘Course Management'! Visit their website.

Golfing on the Lleyn
Porthmadog Golf Club
Situated only a mile or so from Clough Williams Ellis' world-famous Italianate village at Portmeirion, the Porthmadog golf course was created at the turn of the century by James Braid, the genius course designer of his day.
The course has two distinct halves - the front nine are away from the coast and although the soil is sandy the terrain is more accurately described as heathland. But it is none the worse for that, especially with the presence of water making itself felt on five of the holes.
The back nine head for the sea, and some beautiful scenery, and the course is transformed into pure links that have been likened to a miniature Troon. Certainly, there's a lot to the locals' claims that these are the most natural nine holes in Wales. None come tougher or more fascinating than the 14th.
Golfers can book a tee time either via the club's website or by phoning 01766 512037.

Although in close proximity to the sea, Caernarfon is a parkland course, with true running greens and lush fairways. Providing a challenge for all skill levels and measured at just under 6,000 yards, it requires accuracy and good course management.
Golfers can book a tee time by phoning the club on 01286 673783.

Pwllheli Golf Club
On the south coast of the beautiful Lleyn Peninsula, the course has unrivalled views of Snowdonia over Cardigan Bay. With a long history spanning back over 109 years, Pwllheli is regarded as one of the top courses in North Wales with both links and parkland holes. At 6100 yards from the back tees, some might think this is an easy course, however with the absence of par 5s, and some of the par 4s playing in to the prevailing south westerly winds, Pwllheli is a true test for golfers of all handicaps.
