This is a week in which Anglesey's finest painters, sculptors, photographers, film makers, printmakers, installation artists and craftworkers open their studios so that art enthusiasts can visit and gain a valuable insight in their working methods. It is a fantastic way to engage with local artists across a wide variety of mediums; you could even purchase your very own piece to treasure!
In 2017 the main event runs from Saturday the 8th to Sunday 23rd of April. However new for this year, the programme has a handy key to let you know whether the artist is only open to visits during that week, or whether they in fact welcome visitors year-round. You can also use the event programme to plan your own tour of the studios with a fab map showing how to navigate the island (there is a pdf version available here).
There are also walking tours available that you can join which will take you around select studios - the best part of these is that they are free of charge! If you'd like to book a place on one of these tours, please contact the Ucheldre Centre on 01407 763361 or firstname.lastname@example.org - full details of the walks available can be seen in the guide.
