Visit the Lleyn Peninsula
The Lleyn Peninsula (also known as Llŷn) has a stunning, sweeping coastline set against the backdrop of Snowdonia. Between Aberdaron, departure point for Bardsey Island, and the bustling resorts of Abersoch, Porthmadog and Pwllheli lie some of North Wales' most stunning beaches. Call at Selective Seafoods in Tudweiliog (5% off for Menai Holiday customers!), or one of the roadside cottages where you see the signs for lobster, crabs and sea bass, to enjoy a treat straight from the sea.For sports enthusiasts there are spectacular golf courses, modern marinas, surf academies and riding stables, and for families there are activity centres, museums, and castles waiting to be explored.
The Lôn Eifion cycle track stretches from Caernarfon to Criccieth following the old railway line, and there are miles of coastal and mountain footpaths for walkers. This is a timeless land where the old traditions are strong, and where you will be made most welcome.
Walking
The diverse landscape of the Lleyn Peninsula is criss-crossed with footpaths and sets walkers the challenge of completing the 84 mile long Lleyn Coastal Path which takes an average of seven days to complete. The path passes small coves and wide expanses of sand, to rugged cliffs and wild heath land.
On the Water
Wherever you are on the Lleyn, you are never far away from the coast! With its impressive sea cliffs, sheltered sandy coves and ancient shipwrecks visitors can enjoy pursuits such as surfing, wind-surfing, kite surfing, scuba diving, water skiing, kayaking, canoeing or sailing.
The Lleyn is home to a range of organisations that can help you get on the water.
Land-based Activities
In addition to walking, the varied landscape of the Lleyn Peninsula offers visitors a host of activities from mountain climbing, cycling, go-karting, horse riding and golf.
