Here are some suggestions.

Parc Glynllifon, Llandwrog, Caernarfon. Enjoy a leisurely walk through 70 acres of exotic trees and plants, imported and planted over 150 years ago. Visit the craft and design workshops, gallery and shop and enjoy a snack at the Black Cat Cafe.
Ffestiniog Railway, Porthmadog. The oldest independent railway company in the World - being founded by an Act of Parliament in 1832. Travelling from Porthmadog, through Tan y Bwlch to Blaenau Ffestiniog. The journey lets you enjoy the outstanding natural beauty of Snowdonia as you pass through areas inaccessible by road, undisturbed by the sights and sounds of modern life.
Welsh Highland Railway, Caernarfon. Journey behind the most powerful 2' gauge steam locomotives in the world on a 19½ mile journey through the fabulous scenery of the Snowdonia National Park. The journey starts beside the awe-inspiring Caernarfon Castle, continues high up into the Snowdonian Mountains and then descends into Beddgelert. The train then heads towards the Aberglaslyn Pass before plunging dramatically into a tunnel through the hillside. Emerging on the far side, the line descends past Nantmor village to reach a temporary loop at Hafod y Llyn - from where the trains currently return to Beddgelert and Caernarfon.
Inigo Jones Showroom, Y Groeslon, Caernarfon. Founded in 1861 to produce school writing slates, the company now produces architectural and craft products from Welsh slate. Self-guided tour of the works also available.
