On the south coast of the beautiful Lleyn Peninsula, the course has unrivalled views of Snowdonia over Cardigan Bay. With a long history spanning back over 109 years, Pwllheli is regarded as one of the top courses in North Wales with both links and parkland holes. The first 9 holes were designed by Tom Morris of Hoylake in 1900 and it was extended to 18 holes in 1909 by J Braid. At 6100 yards from the back tees, some might think this is an easy course, however with the absence of par 5s, and some of the par 4s playing in to the prevailing south westerly winds, Pwllheli is a true test for golfers of all handicaps.
