Aelfor is such a delightful house, refurbished throughout it has a wonderfully spacious feel. It is just a a short walk to the local blue flag beach and to the centre of the town. The views from here are magnificent and on a clear day it is even possible to see our neighbours in Ireland!
A short walk will take you into Harlech, where you will find an array of individual and unique shops including some of the best Chocolate Brownies in Wales from Cafe Llew Glas (at least we think so!) and great Tapas nights too. There's the impressive Harlech Castle to explore and you are never far from a beach either, only a 10 minute stroll will find you on a brilliant beach with miles of sand dunes and rolling waves.
For another fab family day out, you could always venture slightly further afield and soak up the bustling atmosphere of the seaside town of Barmouth with its interesting shops, cosy cafes and great pubs. Grab an ice cream and stroll along the promenade or beach - bliss!
