This much loved family house is in a great location in the heart of Harlech. With views of the mighty Harlech Castle, the dunes & sea beyond, yet only a two minute stroll to the shops, restaurants, bars and cafes.
The locals are all friendly, the shops are quirky and individual. There is even an old fashioned sweetie shop selling all your favourites of days gone by! Sit and people watch on the pretty cobbled square with brightly coloured painted picnic benches outside Cafe Llew Glas where you can buy delicious homemade snacks during the day and Spanish tapas by night! There are some lovely restaurants if you fancy dining out & pretty gift shops selling all manner of goodies. A ten minute walk takes you to the stunning Blue Flag beach, or you might prefer to take in the history of the imposing Harlech Castle.
The well equipped, welcoming kitchen has a stunning baby blue Rayburn cooker, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, microwave, washing machine. There is a lovely rustic farmhouse dining table & CD player. Open the stable door to let the sea breeze through into the cottage, whilst keeping the children & family pooch inside.
The spacious sitting room has an open fire to keep you warm and toasty, and as you would expect, TV with Freeview & DVD player. There is a fabulous collection of DVDs, board games and a great selection of books, including many relating to the local area to help you find all the best walks from the doorstep.
On the 1st floor there are two big bedrooms, both with king sized beds & lovely sea views. One of these bedrooms has an ensuite bathroom with a shower, loo, wash hand basin. When the house is let to sleep 4, these are the bedrooms available.
There are a further two large attic bedrooms on the 2nd floor, one with a double bed and one with twin single beds. This floor can be opened up for use for an extra charge, so the house can accommodate 8 people.
Family bathroom on the 1st floor with a loo, wash hand basin, heated towel rail and bath with shower over. One ensuite bathroom on 1st floor with shower, loo, wash hand basin.
Private parking for two cars at the back of the cottage. There is a small garden at the side of the cottage with garden furniture & fantastic views over the bay. Please note there are steps from the parking area through the garden leading to the front.
The house is on a steep road connecting lower & upper Harlech. If booked for 8 people, there is no bathroom on the 2nd floor. The cooker is a Rayburn which controls the heating and hot water, however there is an immersion heater too.
