KITCHENS
Each kitchen should contain a cooker, refrigerator,
electric kettle, toaster, iron and ironing board, with
sufficient crockery, cutlery, saucepans and utensils
for the number of people accommodated in the cottage.
Many houses have microwaves, dishwasher, washing machine
and these will be listed in the description of the house.
BED
LINEN
Beds are provided with two pillows per person and duvets
or blankets. You will need to bring your own sheets,
pillow covers and duvet covers unless Bed Linen Provided

is offered in some properties and this must be arranged
and paid for at the time of booking, and your requirements
filled in on the booking form. Remember to bring your
own bath towels and tea towels, and where towels are
provided these are for use in the house only and must
not be removed or taken to the beach. Menai Holiday
Cottages can normally arrange for full linen hire for
overseas visitors or for those traveling by public
transport.
ELECTRICITY
AND GAS
Where electricity or gas is paid for by meter readings
a form will be left in the cottage for you to take readings
and calculate your usage and the cost. Additional charges
for coal, logs or central heating are clearly stated
and payable to the owner on departure.
CLEANING
All properties are cleaned and serviced before your
visit and you are asked to leave them clean and tidy
at the end of your stay. Please return anything you
may have moved for your own convenience to its correct
place, as cleaners often work alone and cannot move
furniture. If you have any cleaning complaint please
inform the office immediately.

Pets are accepted at many properties and you must show
consideration for those who follow. Only fully house
trained pets are accepted. Pets are not allowed in any
bedrooms or on furniture and must not be left unaccompanied
in the house at any time. Please bring your pet's bed
and bowls and remove any traces of hair from the house
and mess from the garden when you leave.
COTS
AND HIGH CHAIRS
These are available in some houses and must be requested
at the time of booking and on the booking form to make
sure that they are available for your visit. Cot and
mattress only are provided not sheets and covers so
please remember to bring your own. Please bring waterproof
sheets for toddlers who may not be fully trained.
DISABLED
VISITORS
Some properties are adapted for disabled visitors. If
a member of your party is disabled please make this
clear both at the time of booking and on the booking
form as ramps, special chairs and shower aids may not
be kept in the house at all times - Should you require
an access statement for any cottage please ask.
OLD COTTAGES
AND WILD LIFE
Many people love old stone cottages, but remember these
were built before modern damp courses and in our local
climate may have damp patches after wet spells. The
countryside is home to many forms of wildlife and sometimes
unwelcome visitors such as flies, ants, spiders, fleas,
and bats or woodlice may enter the best kept houses.
If this happens please contact the owner or caretaker
immediately so they can be dealt with promptly.
