Where to start

You can book your holiday either as an online reservation or by telephone.

Online reservation - Simply choose your cottage fill in the online reservation booking form and submit to Menai holiday cottages. This booking will be acknowledged and subject to receiving within 24 HOURS either the deposit or full payment (for holidays taken with 56 days of booking) your booking will be confirmed. If payment is not received within 24 Hours then the cottage will be released as available.

Booking by phone - All the cottages have been visited by Menai Holiday Cottages' team so a telephone call to us may help you to choose the right area, cottage and any special requirements that you may have.  Once you have made a reservation you will be asked to fill in and return a booking form and send to us together with either the deposit or full payment (for holidays taken within 56 days of booking).

Changeover dates and short breaks

The cottages starting days are clearly marked on the web site and in the brochure, at less busy times we can be flexible on the start date.

Most short breaks are Friday to Monday or Monday to Friday, but please call us if you have a special requirement and we will try to accommodate you.

Confirming your booking

Confirmation of your booking will be sent on receipt of your deposit.  This will give you your booking reference number and advise you of the balance payment due for your holiday and the date it is due which will be 56 days prior to your arrival.

Payment - can be made by debit or credit card, or internet bank transfer. Travel instructions will be sent to you on receipt of your final payment, most cottages are available from 4.00 p.m. onwards please read your instructions which will give you directions to the cottage, access arrangements and emergency contact details. If you do arrive early then housekeepers and tradesmen may well be at the cottage and are able to enter any time up until your stated arrival time.

Non UK residents are asked to make payment in full at the time of booking Overseas visitors are not covered by cancellation insurance.

Bookings made a year in advance are taken as normal but we cannot guarantee the price. All correct prices will be confirmed on JANUARY 1st for the forthcoming year. Usually the prices don't change too significantly, however if you are at all unhappy with the new price your money will be refunded to you in full immediately.

Housekeeping deposits

Housekeeping deposits are taken at the discretion of the owner and Menai Holiday Cottages usually for all Christmas and New Year bookings and non family large groups and special occasion parties. The deposit is taken 7 days before the start of the holiday and banked. We reserve the right to withhold some or all of the deposit in the event of breakages, missing items, damage to the property and any charges incurred for extra cleaning.
