Geo-Discovery Walk - Lligwy to Moelfre

Anglesey is the first island ever to receive Geopark Status. 1,800 million years of history has fashioned more than 100 rock types.

Terry Beggs will take an excursion from Lligwy to Moelfre, walking the coastal path after Lligwy Beach, looking at caboniferous limestone and explaining why the Royal Charter and Hindlea foundered on the rocks here.  Terry is an expert on the wrecks of Anglesey and is a Master Mariner and an excellent raconteur!

Either take a packed lunch or take a visit to Anne's Pantry in Moelfre afterwards.

Keep an eye out for seals and dolphins!

Meet at the Lligwy Beach car park at 10.30am.

Prior booking is essential. Please visit the GeoMon website for further details.
