Managed by Pwllheli Angling Association. The reservoir is fished by any method, except maggot and ground-baiting. The water is fantastically clear which can be very productive for fly fishing. Permits available:

Afon Erch, near Pwllheli
The marina at Pwllheli is at the mouth of this river, which rises some seven miles north on the southern slopes of eastern Yr Eifl. Managed by Pwllheli Angling Association. An abundance of wild brown trout and good runs of seatrout and salmon later on in the year.

Afon Dwyfor, near Criccieth
The river rises in the western mountains of Snowdonia and flows down through Cwm Pennant towards the lower land of the peninsula. Cwm Dwyfor, where the source of the river is, lies between Moel Hebog and the Nantlle Ridge. From here the river flows down through Llanfihangel-y-Pennant, then past Dolbenmaen, and down through woodlands to Llanystumdwy. On the banks of the river at Llanystumdwy is buried the former Prime Minister David Lloyd George who grew up in the village. Llyn Alaw, South of Amlwch

A large lowland reservoir, about 777 acres, in a rural setting in North Anglesey. Well known for its wild brown trout up to four pounds in weight. Llyn Alaw is one of the most productive lakes in Wales. Boat hire available. Jim Clarke Tel: 01407 730 762.

Llyn Cefni, Llangefni

The 175 acre reservoir and the immediate surrounding area have been designated as a nature reserve. Llyn Cefni is the second largest lake on the Island. Mr P Rowe Tel: 01248 470 306.

You will need a Welsh water licence to fish for all game species in addition to local permits or permission to fish.
