If you have not heard about us before, welcome! Here at Menai Holiday Cottages we offer over 350 fabulous holiday cottages, houses and apartments across North Wales. Covering Anglesey, Snowdonia and the Llyn Peninsula, we have a wide-range of accommodation to suit many different tastes and budgets - what's more, we all live in and love North Wales and offer our customers local recommendations and match them to their perfect cottage so that they have the best holiday experience possible.
We were recently sent a letter by a satisfied customer from London that was written as if by Wales itself addressing its old friend London, highlighting the completely different lifestyles the two enjoy. We loved the letter so much that we have decided to turn it into a video, complete with a voiceover. However, that got us thinking about what Wales would sound like if it were a person. Would it be a man or a woman and would it be representative of the place we love? Would the voice of North Wales sound like a crescendo of waterfalls, or the whispering wind through Newborough forest?
Here at Menai Holiday Cottages we love unique personalities so we did not want to use an actor - instead, we decided to run a competition nationwide to find the official voice of Wales! If you think you could capture the spirit of forest at Newborough, the sea as it laps the shore in Porthdinllaen or the wind as it wooshes through the peaks of Snowdonia, we want to hear from you!
If your voice is chosen not only will your voice be immortalised as the voice of an entire nation, but you will also win a 3 night holiday for you and 3 friends or family members in Bwthyn Nain - a fabulous, cosy holiday cottage near Harlech in Snowdonia - worthup to £395! To enter, please send us a recording of your voice in one of the following ways:
Please send us a recording of you quoting the following line from the letter: 'Trade the heaving junctions for the undulating lanes of Northern Anglesey; the traffic wardens for fisherman; the terraced homes for sheltered coves, rustic churches and seaside cottages.'
Send us the clip in one of the following ways:
