The first week of term is completed, your little treasures are back in their routines, the house has regained some degree of order and the mayhem of summer holidays is passed but it’s only 6 – 7  weeks until half term! To make it really easy for you, here is the lowdown on what is happening in North Wales this half term and why you would have a wonderful time here with your family.

1 Wonderful cottages to stay in.

From simple to sumptuous houses for just the four of you,  to the full extended family and 3 dogs,  we have wonderful houses for you to stay and rest in and play from. By the beach,  in the mountains next to the zip line, you name it we have it. See our cottages available for half term

Halloween TrainsSquirrel Breakfast, Conwy Feast, Porth Y Swnt Spooky trailFestival of the Dead puppet show Snowdonia Walking Festival.

But if you fancied a short break before then there are some cracking events over the weekends.

21st September Banda Bacana 22nd Sandman Triathlon

29th September Hurly-Burly 29th September Criccieth Bread Making 29th/30th September Anglesey Woodland Festival

26th October Mabon 26th-28th  October Conwy Feast

3 Wonderful time of year to walk.

Proven to increase happiness, getting your little nippers outdoors, climbing trees, jumping across streams, picking up sticks, even having an autumn dip (in a wetsuit of course) will get their hearts and minds racing.

Fungus Forays.

There are some lovely tours and events to take you down to the woods today and find not bears but mushrooms! But take someone with you who knows their blewits and king George mushrooms from your Satans Bolete and Fools Cone-cap!

Enjoy a wholesome Halloween.

Pumpkin carving, witches broom making have to be more palatable than plastic gore and terrifying trick or treating. Escape to the countryside and celebrate all hallows eve in a more traditional way.

Autumn Outdoor Adventures

Far from being a time to stay indoors, you can enjoy great surfing and windsurfing opportunities. Not to mention paddleboarding on the lakes or gorge walking in Snowdonia. Who cares what the weather is like when you have a lovely thick wetsuit to keep you warm and you’re getting wet anyway.

Hire a bike and go on some of the family-friendly off-road routes. From the Lon Las Menai to the Lon Las Ogwen, Lon Gwerfai to Beddgelert Forest, there are some fantastic routes to take you to interesting places with amazing scenery that the whole family can enjoy.

Home Comforts

Pleasure of all pleasures is returning your cottage to tuck into a  well-earned plate of scrumptious food, hot chocolates towering with cream, and then lighting the fire to have a good card game together. Ahh, I’m looking forward to it already..

We look forward to seeing you soon. Take the plunge and experience the wonderful fun, peaceful and wholesome experiences that North Wales will connect you to.
