We had an animated discussion in the office last week around which of our Anglesey accommodation we like the most. And after much debate, we decided to ask Luke, our reporting expert, to tell us which ones our guests most regularly stay in.
Menai Holidays look after just under 300 holiday cottages on Anglesey so, as you can imagine, there is quite some competition. The results are now in and in ascending order we are pleased to share our 10 most popular Anglesey cottages.
A short hop and a skip to Lligwy Beach, this is any person’s dream spot. The cottage accepts two pets and has a New England feel within the cottage. Walk in, unwind, take in the sea views and you are instantly on your hols. The beautiful village of Moelfre is just under 2 miles away.
Three things that make it so popular: Beach close by, great interior & location.
This charming stone holiday cottage is tucked away in a fabulous, elevated position on Anglesey. Its stunning views across the Llŷn Peninsula and Snowdonia have inspired many famous artists including Philip Snow and Charles Tunnicliffe. Could this be your excuse to find your inner artist?
Three things that make it so popular: Kerb appeal, tastefully done & secluded
Don’t you just love the name?! The Cabbage Patch is a perfect little holiday retreat, close to the wonderful bay at Rhoscolyn. It is on the Anglesey coastal footpath and only a short walk to the well known White Eagle gastropub. An idyllic little hideaway!
Three things that make it so popular: Cosy, unique & a wonderful view
Buck is a quaint, traditional stone holiday cottage sitting next to a winding, quiet lane. The hedgerows here are a mass of wildflowers in the spring and summer. A 10 minute walk from Llanddona Beach, you are well located to enjoy a stress-free break on Anglesey.
Three things that make it so popular: Quirky, traditional & snuggly
The first of two holiday cottages in Red Wharf Bay that have made the top 10. This modern holiday apartment looking across the bay is the perfect place to get away from it all and truly relax. Set across three floors, great care has been taken to ensure your stay is comfortable and relaxing.
Three things that make it so popular: Changing view, modern & relaxed
One of the holiday cottages that has been with us the longest, Rallt Goch Bach is a truly iconic cottage. Nestled above the village of Beaumaris, it commands superb views. It’s only a short stroll into the bustling village where you’ll find plenty of fab places to eat at and independent shops to browse.
Three things that make it so popular: Location, cosy interior & lovely views
Manadwyn is perched on the shores of the Menai Strait, overlooking the infamous swellies and looking directly at the iconic Britannia Bridge. We don’t think the location can get much better. Virtually all the windows look out to sea – it almost feels as if you are on a ship. We love it!
Three things that make it so popular: Location, location, location
We now move across to Rhoscolyn. Maes Y Gwyddau is an old stone holiday cottage that has been lovingly restored. Cosy on the inside with a roaring fire and beautifully tucked away, you have a real sense of peace and seclusion.
Three things that make it so popular: Secluded, simplicity done well & cosy
Located in Red Wharf Bay, the birthplace of the Land Rover Defender, with its huge sandy beach. When the tide goes all the way out it is a truly spectacular place. Close to The Ship Inn and a short walk away from the Tavern On The Bay which does the perfect Sunday lunch.
Three things that make it so popular: Awesome view, modern interior & perfect space to share with friends and family
