The Most Beautiful Places in North Wales<\/span><\/h2>\n

Snowdon, Snowdonia National Park<\/span><\/h3>\n

A list of the most beautiful places in Wales wouldn\u2019t be complete without a mention of the mighty Mount Snowdon. Wales\u2019 highest mountain dominates the North Wales skyline. Located between Llanberis<\/a> and Beddgelert<\/a>, its magnificent peak rises high above the surrounding valleys.<\/p>\n

The scenery from the summit is second to none, with breathtaking views of Glaslyn and Llydaw (pictured above). If the weather is kind to you, you\u2019ll be able to see out to Ireland and even the Isle of Man. Llanddwyn Island, Anglesey<\/span><\/h3>\n

Located on the Isle of Anglesey<\/a>, Llanddwyn Island is a magical place filled with rolling dunes, quaint buildings and a romantic lighthouse.<\/a> Llanddwyn means \u2018The Church of St. Dwynwen\u2019, the Welsh patron saint of lovers<\/a> and the island has been home to many proposals and declarations of love over the years.<\/p>\n

Llanddwyn Island<\/a> is one of the best-hidden gems of Wales and can be enjoyed by strolling along Newborough Beach, with views of the Snowdonia mountains<\/a> in the background. Llyn Ogwen, Bethesda<\/span><\/h3>\n

If you\u2019re looking for dramatic Welsh mountain scenes, without a strenuous hike, then Llyn Ogwen is for you. Located in Snowdonia<\/a>, the lake is said to be the resting place of Excalibur, the famous sword of King Arthur and is definitely one of the best views in Wales.<\/p>\n

Surrounded by the peaks of Tryfan and Glyderau, Llyn Ogwen provides the perfect combination of idyllic lake views and dramatic mountain scenery. The Llyn Ogwen circular walk<\/a> is a short, but picturesque walk around the lake’s shore that can be enjoyed by all the family.<\/p>\n

Swallow Falls, Betws-y-Coed<\/span><\/h3>\n

Swallow Falls, located near Betws-y-Coed<\/a>, is a spectacular waterfall with a picture-perfect backdrop of magical woodlands. This area of outstanding natural beauty has been featured in many films including Wonder Woman 1984<\/em>, due to be released at the end of 2020.<\/p>\n

You can easily view the falls on the A5 from the Swallow Falls Hotel. But where’s the fun in that? We recommend taking in the surrounding scenery, with an easy stroll from Betws-y-Coed. The walk to Snowdonia\u2019s must-see falls takes you along the riverside, through Gwydr Forest and to the striking Swallow Falls.<\/p>\n

Llyn Padarn, Llanberis<\/span><\/h3>\n

One Welsh scene that has become increasingly popular over the years is The Lone Tree, standing on the edge of Llyn Padarn in Llanberis<\/a>. This view is well known for being a photographic hot-spot and even has its own Facebook appreciation group!<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re looking for that ultimate shot of The Lone Tree, head to the West side of Llyn Padarn during Autumn and Winter, when the tree is baron and the stillness of this stunning Snowdonian lake<\/a> acts as a mirror to its dramatic background.<\/p>\n

Hidden in a secluded gorge along the River Conwy, Fairy Glen is a favourite amongst photographers and artists alike. The atmospheric glen is a protected wildlife site, with a large population of rare ferns and lichens, early purple orchids and even an otter or two has been reported enjoying this tranquil spot.<\/p>\n

Lake Vyrnwy, Powys<\/span><\/h3>\n
