A must visit is the beautiful Pensarn Beach<\/a>, of which part is designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). With its 2 miles of soft golden sand it offers a safe haven for all manner of activities. You can fly your kite on a breezy day, take part in watersports in the surf or just stroll along the prom taking in the sea air. This dog friendly beach is also home to amusements and crazy golf providing plenty of entertainment for the whole family.<\/p>\n Abergele Golf Club welcomes visitors and is deemed one of the most beautiful courses in Wales. With coastal views and the backdrop of the impressive Gwrych Castle, this 18 hole parkland course is second to none. Conwy golf course, one of the best golf courses in North Wales<\/a>, is nearby, meaning you really are spoilt for choice when it comes to deciding where to tee off in this neck of the woods!<\/p>\n Gwrych Castle<\/a>, one of North Wales’ most incredible castles<\/a>, is a 19th Century country house that has had many owners and uses over the years. The upkeep and maintenance of such a large estate meant, unfortunately, overtime it fell into disrepair. Now owned privately, the Gwrych Castle Preservation Trust is serving to guide the planned restoration. With renovations already underway and plans for a visitors centre, there is hope to restore it to its former glory!<\/p>\n Sitting close to the coast, Pentre Mawr Park<\/a> offers something a bit different from the coastal landscape of it neighbours. A walled garden, ponds, meadows and a wooded area mean there are lots to explore at Pentre Mawr. Fun to tour on bike or foot and complete with play parks for the kids, this dog friendly park is a worthwhile trip for the whole family!\u00a0Tan-y-Mynydd Trout Fishery<\/a> offers the chance to relax with your rod all year round, dawn til dusk. Except for Christmas Day, for those even contemplating fishing on December 25th! Being this close to the coast also offers an alternative to coarse fishing, so why not try your odds in the biggest pond around – the Irish Sea!<\/p>\n Knightly\u2019s Fun Park<\/a>, based at Towyn, is just a 10 minute drive from Abergele. Home to traditional funfair rides and arcades the park does exactly what it says on the tin. Looking for a fun place to take the kids, Knightly\u2019s has it covered!<\/p>\n There are miles of coastal path to join right on your doorstep, so it\u2019s easy to get the whole family moving this holiday.<\/p>\n The North Wales Path runs parallel to Pensarn beach along the coast. It runs for 60 miles from Bangor<\/a> to Prestatyn, meaning miles and miles of coastal North Wales views to enjoy.
