The Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways<\/strong><\/a> are bringing festive magic to Snowdonia once again in 2025, with a host of seasonal activities. If the thought of meeting Santa on a steam train excites you, this is the perfect Christmas treat!<\/p>\n

At Porthmadog<\/a> Harbour Station<\/strong>, little ones can step inside Santa\u2019s beautifully decorated Christmas Carriage Grotto<\/strong>. You can even add a ride on the Elf Express<\/strong>, a 30-minute return trip to Minffordd, which runs throughout the day\u2014no need to pre-book a time.<\/p>\n

Alternatively, hop aboard a Welsh Highland Railway Santa Train<\/strong> between Caernarfon and Rhyd Ddu. Santa and his Elves will be on board, handing out gifts, leading carols, and spreading festive cheer. Your journey begins with the collection of a Christmas Hamper before travelling through the stunning winter scenery of Snowdonia National Park.<\/a><\/p>\n
