“Lovely little hut in a beautiful location, amazing views amazing places to go on Holyhead.”

The beach that's a 5 min drive away is brilliant for a swim with public bathroom and bins. Lovely owner very friendly and helpful, not that I didn't need anything much.

Bodwarren Farm

Holyhead 1.3 miles. These six lovely properties are set on the owners’ 70 acre working livestock farm, in a rural location, close to the town and ferry port of Holyhead on Anglesey. With stunning sea and mountain views that can be seen from the farm, these holiday homes are ideal for couples, families and friends with a number of attractions and places to visit within easy reach. Y Wennol and Y Wylan offer single-storey accommodation and both sleep two people, whilst Y Barcud and Bran Goesgoch sleep six each. Cysgod y Bugail and Llety'r Bugail are two delightful little shepherd's huts also sleeping two each. All properties share a courtyard area to park cars, and four have an enclosed garden with a lawned area, patio and furniture whilst the two huts provide peaceful decked balconies, a perfect setting to enjoy an alfresco dinner at the end of the day. Although these charming retreats are in quiet location, there’s something for everyone nearby, including a visit to the town of Holyhead which has remains of Roman town walls and forts, a colourful marina, maritime museum, shops and pubs. Holyhead is also a main ferry point for Ireland, so a day trip to Dublin may be on the cards! Also close by is the Breakwater Country Park, a former quarry, from where you may be able to spot seals who visit the Holyhead coast. Just over three miles away is the resort of Trearddur Bay, with its sandy beaches and watersports. About the location

HOLYHEAD

Trearddur Bay 3 miles.

The bustling town of Holyhead rests on the North West coast of the Isle of Anglesey, the largest town on the island and perhaps known best for being the main ferry port to Ireland. Steeped in history, the town boasts the remains of Roman town walls and forts, medieval burial chambers and stone village foundations. Explore the Breakwater Country Park, a former quarry, which offers designated walks through the grounds. The park is full of interesting wildlife, most notably the seals who visit the Holyhead coast, and outlines the amazing construction of the world's longest breakwater, some 1.8 miles, which today protects the harbour. Visit the colourful marina with its yachts and tall ships, or the town's maritime museum, with its tales of 100 shipwrecks in the vicinity. Day trips to Ireland can be enjoyed easily from here, with Dublin just 90 minutes away on the fast ferry. With spectacular cliff top walks over Holyhead Mountain, golden sandy beaches at the award winning Trearddur Bay and the Snowdonia National Park just a 20 minute drive away, this is a superb holiday location, at any time of the year.
