“We booked the Vine Tree Barn the just 24hrs beforehand, fully aware that the weather predicted for Anglesea was wet wet wet…….”
. however, with high hopes this property to be our sanctuary for the week. It did indeed deliver and we had the most wonderful week watching and listen to the rain and wind, while enjoying roaring wood fires, deep comfy sofas, 24hrs hot water, comfy beds with fluffy Egyptian Cotton towels, free standing cast-iron bath, and an amazing Rain Shower/wet room. Everything we needed was provided, and we weren’t left wanting any household items. We were touched by the kindness on arrival to find a basket full of wood and fire lighters, milk and delicious Welsh cake to get us settled in, thank you for this. When the weather eased, trips to Beaumaris, Anglesea Sea Salt venue, Sea Zoo,Dinner at Dylan’s restaurant, and Chinese takeaways - all within a 15 - 20mts drive away. The balcony area looked like it would have been a delightful spot to catch the morning sun over breakfast, sadly, the weather was not in our favour to enjoy this area of the property nor the little garden. The road down to the property was not as bad as I had feared from previous reviews - just a slower drive down long what is a farm track with a few pot holes, nothing to worry about at all, and at the end, a lovely barn conversion awaits! Will happily return to Vine Tree Barn, to experience Anglesea in warmer/sunnier seasons. One of the loviest properties, with all mod cons, yet remains sympathetic to its original structure, we loved our stay!
