“Mona House is really lovely, with considered decor, a very well thought out garden for dogs and all you need really.”

It is very clean, the kitchen is great for cooking and the location is perfect for getting round Anglesey. We found it cosy and welcoming. We would stay again but not in hot weather. Other reviewers have said the front bedroom does have an issue with road noise. With the window closed it was fine…open then the vehicular noise did keep me awake until midnight and was an issue from about 5am. We had read previous reviews and were aware of the issue before we booked and at £500 for the week it was a compromise we were willing to make. The downstairs does have a small lounge so there is only seating for 4… a consideration if you are a larger group. We were only 3 so it was great for us. The boiler did fail while we were there…it is in the shed with the hoover and mop and bucket…and clearly the boiler is old. It was repaired within 24hrs but it is clearly an ongoing issue from comments in the Visitors’ Book. We had to turn off all the radiators in the house as when we arrived the heating was permanently on
