Set out for the day and head to Amlwch, where you can discover the town's impressive copper mining heritage at the Copper Kingdom Centre or put your walking boots to the test on the Heritage Copper Trail, a 125-mile path which will lead you along the coast of Anglesey and promises superb views.

Be sure to wander up to the Parys Mountain Windmill, a Grade II listed building which used to pump water from the copper mines below.

If you can’t get enough of the breath-taking views, Parys Mountain offers some of the best in the area and is well-known for its gorgeous sunrises.

Just a little further is Traeth Porth Wen Beach, offering incredible views and rugged clifftops, a true taste of coastal life.

For sandy beaches, head to Cemaes which offers two, where you can soak up the sunshine, paddle the shores or take a dip in the clear waters.

For a fantastic day trip, drive to Holyhead where you can delve into Holyheads history at the Maritime Museum, watch the world go by at the marina, head out to the breakwater lighthouse and even catch a ferry over to Ireland.
